Brown was very much involved in the massive mismanagement of Hull - to think he didn't know what was going on would be very naive.

Agree with you Len but with this lesson be in mind, would he be the worst option? At the moment,I can't think of any other experienced managers who may come to us which then leaves us with people like Clark,Wilder,Hill,Speed and Short as possibilities.

thought he got them promoted from the 1st to the championship as well ? Might well be wrong on that one but too early in the morning to check !

Nah, I remember Peter Taylor being incharge when we played Hull at home in our promotion year. I remember he was quite magnanimous in his post match interview, which was quite good of him baring in mind they should have had the most stonewall of stonewallers penalty.

I would imagine any New Manager would be ecstatic to know that Monty and Quinny have just signed 3 year contracts, a hell of a foundation to build any team on

i heard from a reliable source that McCabe went into the changing room ater the match any ranted at the players and staff and undermined Blackwell so Blackwell said thats it i'm off (or as it was put - agreed to go).
(may have already been posted but I haven't had time to read all posts and threads)

On the Andy Dakin point - He's been working as a consultant for United for a while now. He left United to concentrate on his Farm that he owns and hasn't been commercial manager for quite some time.
So him not being on the staff has nothing to do with Yesterday

While it would seem strange that McCabe would burst into the dressing room, we did have a few VIP's yesterday so he might of wanted to put on a better impression.

Do we just hang on a few weeks for Martinez?

Dont know but if you can read anything into it or if its normal practice before home games, but a lot of backroom and office staff, along with Mcabe and Blackwell+vip guests stayed in the Copthorne hotel on the friday night.

Corinthians FC (They looked like South Americans) youth side were there Saturday dinner before the match and then took their seats above the family stand.

Don't know why they were over here. Anyone know why?

Behind doors game this Tuesday with the first team so we can at least win a game in August.

Still the rumours perpetuate about a Maltese businessman taking over at Bramall Lane.

From someone who was actually there on Saturday night as statements were prepared and a list of candidates drawn up, we've been told that this is a load of crap and seems to have come from a caller on Praise or Grumble.

For starters, the businessman involved in talks is Malaysian.

Malaysia is in south-east Asia. Malta is a small island in the Mediterranean.

As of Saturday night, this Malaysian chappy was discussing a sponsorship deal not a take-over.

And this bloke had absolutely sod all to do with Blackwell's departure... apart from perhaps that Kevin McCabe and the rest of the board were in attendance at the game.

No, not after that awful defensive performance Wigan gave against Blackpool on Saturday. It's not been their first either (Spurs last season to name but a few).

The amount of rumours I've heard on the back of that are brilliant.

Maltese billionaires, Mafia connections, ex-premiership managers, Millions to spend for them to have a minority control. It's been highly entertaining.

Millions to spend for them to have a minority control.

Been puzzling me that has, McCabe missing the Estudiantes match to go chasing some Investor, who apparently has Millions to put in, but McCabe still retains control.

No wonder he cant find anyone to sign up.

I would imagine when the day comes (if ever) that an Investor arrives with money, McCabe and "the Concert Party" will be shown the door.

He said at the fans forums that any investment would come in the form of an issue of new shares, thus diluting the current shareholding.

Same thing as far as I can determine, if it just dilutes his holding down to 51% :D

He likes a share issue does our Kev, reverse takeovers, going on the aim market, going back private, reprofiling, making loans, paying dividends, sells property company makes paper millions, gets shafted loses paper millions, now back to share issues, it all makes complete sense

Kevin, we are in the same division we were in when you arrived 10 years ago, but with Jumbo Visiion.
