Bristol City.
The two team city but everyone just calls them by their location derby.
Also called Sheffield v Bristol to pundits and neutrals.
Huddersfield don't care about us and absolutely hate Wednesday. As anyone who knows anything about Wednesday fans might expect, they didn't take the playoffs penalties loss very graciously.
That game was Wednesday's turning point. It's all being downhill since then. They've literally never recovered![]()
Probably. Like “There were ten German bombers in the air” etc.
They hate us, particularly after Blades took over Bristol the evening before the Wolves play off final. They do have a long standing thing with the Grubbies though and a lot of the old OCS lads turned out when they arranged a meet near Crystal Peaks a few years ago.
Yellow Belly’s is what you call Lincoln twatsLincoln City if they come up, impish wankers
The name comes from the colour of the waistcoats of the old Lincolnshire Regiment.Yellow Belly’s is what you call Lincoln twats
Almost certainly.True, but singing derogatory remarks at opposition fans, most of whom were highly unlikely to be involved at the time is as absurd as Wednesday fans harping on about a game played before anyone under 40 was born.
If we played a German team, would we sing songs about the second world war?
In terms of intensity I'd say Cardiff games are more intense these days.
Play off weekend is a great experience though
Given Cardiff's recent success I'd tend to agree but playing and getting one over naughty, nasty Nottingham is special.
Totally agree.
Ms Crab was the Puck Bunny, I've been in and out over the years but she followed them from the start, she even dated a couple of players prior to us meeting. Her sister is big into hockey as well, apparently there's going to be some sort of mini season coming in April via streaming? She got that off facebook but I don't go on there.
Tall thin and as bald as a cootBig lad, dark curly hair?
I started going in about 94/95 with my mum & dad, started playing Hockey at a similar time too. Don't go half as much as I used to but got the itch for it when I picked up some ice skates last Summer (at 35 years old I was like bambi after been off the ice for so long). Once the season is underway properly I'll take my young un' get him into it. As much as I'd like to take him week-in week-out to the Lane, it's too much for me these days.
It was announced the other day, Sheffield, Nottingham, Coventry & Manchester, 24 games finishing in a best-of-three playoff final. I'll be watching it but feel it really should be every team or none at all.

I agree, must be a reason they are the only sides. I'd guess finance but I'd have thought Cardiff would have been able to put a team together, but then I suppose that increases the travelling? Also, I've watched some NHL on Freesport and I'd say it has the same problem as footy, it's just not the same without a crowd.
I think Wales and Scotland has different lockdown restrictions (?) so I'm assuming that because Notts, Sheff, Cov and Manc are all within an hour or so of each other, this was the best they could cobble together.
I watch a bit of NHL on Freesport or YouTube, I was looking forward to the Outdoor Series but it was delayed after the first period due to the ice condition, kinda put me off after that.
Yeah I watched that game. A shame as it looked a spectacular place to play Hockey. I always enjoy the NHL Outdoor Series, makes me laugh when the goalies wear bobble hats over their lids.
Way back when, I was hoping to be able to skate enough to maybe play a bit of rec hockey, then me and Ms Crab priced up the goalie kit and decided it would have been cheaper to launch a manned mission to Mars..................
Too right, had a good laugh with their lads. Used to go and watch them when they played at Twerton Park, Bath when I was stationed at Rudloe Manor back in the early 90’s. The Gasheads have a lot in common with us.That's the true Sheffield v Bristol derby, Pigs v Wurzels in a fight to determine who has the biggest delusions of grandeur in their respective cities.
Us and Rovers will be outside having a pint.
