The last time we were in the Prem and on Sky, the chap sat in front of me put on a full head mask of Shrek. Within seconds 2 stewards flew up the stairs and insisted it was removed immediately or be ejected from the ground. When asked why they said Sky had insisted on banning things which might contravene copyright laws. Fun lot aren’t they, just stick to politely clapping and taking selfies.

Not sure about attacking Sky but I'd like to see us be ourselves and not bow graciously to the great and the good of the Premier League.

They took the piss out of us in 1994 and 2007. We were an easy target so Everton (one of the big 5 in 1994) and West Ham in 2007 were spared relegation.

I want us all to positively channel our efforts in 'putting things right' in our own way and show we're not here just to make up the numbers.

Yes, but that isn’t best achieved by presenting as some sort of small-time novelty item. So, I disagree with the opening proposition. We’re a professional club, flat out to establish ourselves in the Premier League, not a protest group.

Now the dust has settled on what was a truly excellent season may I have some opinions on the following..........

We may be in the Prem, but we don’t have to agree with it. I like to think of our club holding a long standing stance of giving the V’s to the establishment. Now a days the establishment is most definitely Sky and BT. It will annoy the hell out of me if next year we will become everybody’s second club, the plucky looser. Basically like Huddersfield have been over the last two years. We are Blades and we don’t want anybody’s pity. BDTBL has got to be a fortress next year and siege mentality will help that. Call us old fashioned but we like our kickoffs at 3pm on a Saturday and we really don’t care about the arm chair fans watching after their Sunday roast. We don’t think it’s right that the top 6 clubs are the only clubs in with a shout of winning the league and playing in Europe etc, etc. The list goes on.

I’m not naive enough to think this will change anytime soon, but can we make Sky’s visits to the Lane as embarrassing for them as we can? Ideas needed. I was thinking a banner placed on the John street, set up at every home game (Opposite side to the camera) It would be excellent if the kop end would do something similar too. What message could we put on them? (No swearing please) Granted not very rock and roll but it’s a start and at least we are not just blowing smoke up their arse. I do believe other fans visiting the Lane next season will admire/ respect this.

Very principled. But given that TV money is going to be our main source of income do you really think it’s a good idea to piss them off with protest banners or trying to refuse to kick off when they say so?

When Forest were managed by Cloughie he fined his players for what he saw as excessive dissent to refs, he insisted they just got on with the game. If we want to be a beacon in the league I hope it is for something similar to this, no diving, no card waving, no play acting, no excessive time wasting, no constant badgering of the ref on mass. Play to the whistle, no outstretched arms to help opposition players get up, let the buggers get themselves up. Make it well known in advance that we won’t be kicking the ball out for an injury to one of theirs unless the ref blows his whistle.

Not that I think we currently use over the top gamesmanship in our play at present but judging on what I see week on week in the PL we are going to come up against a hell of a lot more of it and I don’t want to see us adopt the same tactics.

Some may think this a bit naive but Clough’s approach didn’t stop them winning the league and 2 European cups, in fact Clough was aware of the advantage of taking the moral high ground and benefitting from referees appreciating the approach Forest took.

I was fuming at the time when two stewards came up to me and tried pulling my head off!
