Now the dust has settled on what was a truly excellent season may I have some opinions on the following..........

We may be in the Prem, but we don’t have to agree with it. I like to think of our club holding a long standing stance of giving the V’s to the establishment. Now a days the establishment is most definitely Sky and BT. It will annoy the hell out of me if next year we will become everybody’s second club, the plucky looser. Basically like Huddersfield have been over the last two years. We are Blades and we don’t want anybody’s pity. BDTBL has got to be a fortress next year and siege mentality will help that. Call us old fashioned but we like our kickoffs at 3pm on a Saturday and we really don’t care about the arm chair fans watching after their Sunday roast. We don’t think it’s right that the top 6 clubs are the only clubs in with a shout of winning the league and playing in Europe etc, etc. The list goes on.

I’m not naive enough to think this will change anytime soon, but can we make Sky’s visits to the Lane as embarrassing for them as we can? Ideas needed. I was thinking a banner placed on the John street, set up at every home game (Opposite side to the camera) It would be excellent if the kop end would do something similar too. What message could we put on them? (No swearing please) Granted not very rock and roll but it’s a start and at least we are not just blowing smoke up their arse. I do believe other fans visiting the Lane next season will admire/ respect this.

Do fellow blades agree with this or not?

Any ideas?

Where does all that TV money come from?

Don't bite the hand that feeds you no matter how unpalatable it tastes.

The 'Sky is shit' song that we stole from Leeds is enough for me.

I agree in principal - don’t like sky or bt, but I have Sky...

We can protest all we want at games but we’re getting £150million from the twats

So until twats like me (and perhaps) you give up sky tv and bt sports then we’ve got to suffer them moving games from 3pm Saturday to Sunday at 12 or whatever.

I reckon we’ll be as popular in the Prem as Nigel Farage is in the EU parliament.

Can understand the sentiment but it makes no sense, it’s also very backward, a yesterdays type of thinking.

Either embrace Sky, loads of sponsorship commercial income and receive multiple millions so we can afford the best players or
the alternative is no money and having to pick up bargain basement players.
Mmmmm......difficult decision.

Depending on how our games with sides playing in Europe fall we could have more Saturday 3pm kick offs than this year. And £100+ million off the tv deal rather than the 6 or so million we got in the championship for being on tv over 15/16 times!

I love sky, I even have a sky-bt sport, half and half scarf courtesy of SwissBlade.

We are in the prem and with that comes exposure, weird kick off times and a shitload of cash. Either deal with it or don't on a personal basis but don't assume you speak for the majority just because they join in a few chants.

At least 50% of people who shout scabs at forest have got fuck all idea why.

Thanks for transferring the money for the scarf.

Please only wear it at the designated times otherwise I will send Crab industries around to collect it from you and fine you

Fuck that, I'm swinging it around my head on the Dundee bus like a madman. Send vern round, I can guarantee there are scarier things on here than him ;)

I agree with your principal, but sadly it’s idealistic

Putting up a banner at the lane would be like putting up a banner behind your workspace calling your boss a cunt, he may well be a cunt, but while he pays your wages, mortgage, food on table etc, you smile through gritted teeth and say morning

There are 150million reasons why we put up with it

a shitload of cash

Unfortunately: (1) the Premiership cash is massively weighted to the top six places: (2) the cash we do get our hands on will run straight through the club into the hands of players and their agents, faster than feed passes through a goose's alimentary tract turns to shit.

I think the answer is grit our teeth, survive and then, once we have established ourselves, campaign alongside the other second tier Prem clubs for a fundamental reform of the division of spoils and a clamp-down on agents.

Vern doesn't do Scotland. Men in skirts are his bete noir.

Whereas itsinyerblood sees them as Bette Davis. Thursdays I believe.

I asked for opinions and that’s what I’ve got. I respect all of them and at the end of the day it’s our club so majority rules.

There doesn’t seem to be an appetite for this.

The acceptance of the status quo though is saddening and disheartening to say the least.

I’m not backward looking, but as some have alluded to the odds are stacked against us. Good job the peasants did think like this back in 1381.

If anyone tries to put up a banner saying uncomplimentary things about Sky tv I will bet silverfox ’s beer allowance that it won’t last til half time.
It's buying all your beer too that costs me! Oh and the taxi home.....funny you can walk to a kebab shop but then can't walk home?

Is it the pink trainers?

The Pigs still claiming to be the oldest club then?

On a serious note, the PL is the only way to build the club across the board. I was talking to an old mate of a similar age at Stoke. We both thought we'd not see us in the PL again. Financial morality or not, this is Manna for some of us, who apart from L1 and D4 titles , haven't seen us win diddly in heading towards 60 years. Bollocks to the politics, l just want to watch us up there again. The cups are just a fading fantasy now.
