Depends how much the Prince is willing to invest who knows.

But they are 2 players I would definitely be looking at if I was CW.

I heard earlier spurs were looking at Callum Wilson for 10m!! that would be an absolute steal was only the other season 50m was being quoted.

Only problem with Wilson would be wages I suspect.
 
CWAK know we need more quality up front. After today, I am sure that will happen. No one knows , apart from CWAK, what we can or can't afford. The only thing that concerned me was CW saying we might have to sell to recruit. However, we still managed to finish 9th in the Premier League. Thank you Leon for your service, Billy, think maybe your time has come as well, but a lack of pace, trickery, whatever you want to call it, has cost us today. But just remember, Norwich, Bournemouth and Watford are where every single , so called expert, stated we would be.

You're right. Here we go again...

We lose and all the bedwetters come out saying this player isn't good enough, we've been found out, we need better players etc etc etc

For the hard of thinking out there - we've finished 9th in the motherfucking Premier League!!

No doubt Tufty will be focusing on progress and development but those saying 'not good enough' and calling out players really do not deserve this team!!

This. We need a big improvement up front. Tiredness has caught up with our back 5 in the last couple of games. Nothing to overreact to.
 
Everyone knows we need to improve in some areas but some of the crap I'm reading on here is unbelievable

Here's an idea, just for today try congratulating this blades side that have given us some our best memories in recent times and just finished 9th in the fucking prem

Yes there is slight disappointment, it could have been even better, bus jesus today is the day to thank them, not tear them to shreds
 
Yes, our form has been patchy since the restart, but far too much negativity. Had Billy scored, as he should have, to make it 2-0 it would have been a different story. The squad is thin and, of course, we need some quality reinforcements, but our season has been magnificent and far exceeded expectations. Let's not lose the faith!!
 
Theres absolutely no need for major surgery, I think there needs to be investment made up top, we won't take up the option on zivkovic, Clarke leaving with our thanks and best wishes, mousset is anyone's guess, and Billy being an impact sub at best, mcburnie has been a great success in my opinion, so we need at least 2 more forwards, and we need some quality back up players and we possibly need a quality keeper. But if we don't lose any first teamers to transfers just building organically is what's needed.

As said we need good/high quality midfield and forwards we let the opposition have far too much possession but if we get too much we slow the game down and we haven’t got the players to open teams up it would need a full disassembling. I’d like to see someone who can score regularly from midfield I think that would take the weight off the forwards it also makes more space defenders would have to commit to a goal scoring midfielder but that’s my opinion and wtf do I know and it’s not me putting my hand in my pocket for these quality players.
 
Just conceded 3 in one half, not acceptable against any club let alone Southampton. Next season is going to be a struggle unless we recruit well. Forwards are needed, our lack of goals scored is scary, we can’t rely on the defence every game. As for the midfield, since lockdown, they’ve barely turned up. It’s a tricky one. Will they perform next season?
 
I agree there needs to be a few changes and some creases ironed out but half of you were booking hotels in Spain for the Barcelona matches less than 2 weeks ago. Make up your minds. Have we been the unlikely Euro contenders or have we bumbled our way through.

Some people want the fucking moon on a stick! Seriously, go and support Wednesday with your unrealistic expectations, you'll be better placed. We're doing just fine, don't you worry. First season back in the Prem and we finish 9th, and that is not good enough for you? Move on.
 
Wow, to think that 35 points was all that was needed to stay up, I think we had that in January, & we ended up with only 2 points less than AV & Norwich had combined over the whole season.

And Brighton are over the moon that their 41 points, as it is their best ever PL total!

A bit of perspective on a great season, but sadly a poor ending, & lost our 'not lost after leading at half time since 2016' mantle!

Christ on a bike! I must be watching different games to some. I don't see Berge bringing anything to the table. He's slow, negative, nesh for a big fella and can't head a ball to save his life - despite his height. I would put Norwood, Fleck, Lunny, and L Freeman all before him. Save for a few decent touches against Spurs, he's shown nothing to justify his big price tag in my opinion.

I agree to a degree.

Leicester, Everton and Southampton have asked some very awkward questions that we haven't been able to answer. We have looked like we were (a) on the beach or (b) a championship team getting beaten relatively easily by a Premier league team in an FA Cup tie.

Cw needs to ask various questions one of which I believe he asked today, which was does Berge or Norwood play - IMHO I don't think we can play both in the same team - except for specific games when we may need to sit deeper and work with limited possession.

The next thing for me is the formation - 352 has kept us in this division - a tweak by CW/AK after promotion that has given us a 2nd year. To score more goals we need for me to change formation that gives us a better chance to score and that is a tweak BACK to 3412. Are we interested in Cantwell or Eze - if we are then it points to a no:10 coming into the team - which then asks the question who plays in centre midfield with Fleck - Berge or Norwood?

We also need more up front - at least 1 new player to go straight into the team.

CW has alluded to this already about new options up top - for me it's a neccessity.

Enjoyed the season - to move this club on - we NEED upgrades.

Never going to achieve this until we move to a shiny new stadium next to a retail park and double the ticket prices
