If Berge can be refined in the position he played today then Norwood is on the bench next season for me. There's nothing wrong with that, it'd be progress. We need to be forcing more of this season's players to the bench in order to push on. I'm still on the fence with Berge, but there's a reason he was sought after by some big name clubs across Europe and why he's valued at the price we paid. We'll see it at some point.

I'm not convinced that Wilder sees him as the wide player opposite Fleck. He seemed to play him there as Lundstram was out of form and Freeman was either injured or just not doing it in training.
 
Disagree totally.

We just need to improve our hideous finishing over the course of a season. We play great football but our passing has not been great over the last few games.

Investment up front and the confidence will soon return. Still very proud!!

As said above we need a goalscorer and someone in midfield to make things happen....along the lines of Redman for them.

The whole defence and most of the midfield are more than good enough.

I would agree with you about our strikeforce and midfield.

Deano and the defence have been excellent for the most part this season and that is what has helped us get to finish in 9th place.
 



We need pace and power up top. Also a bit more of an attacking threat from midfield.

Defence excellent, and midfield defensively is sound. Need that but more up top.

Southampton are in trouble financially and need to sell players as their owner is looking to sell too.

I would love us to sign Redmond think he is a top quality player and would do brilliant in our team.

I would also like to see CW go for Demarai Gray too who is not getting much game time at Leicester he would be another great addition got the pace and trickery we miss up top when Mousett isn't in the team.

Lost against a team in the top 4 all season
Lost at home, but deserved a draw
Lost today but should have been 2-0 up at least

Look at the four games before that. You wouldn't be saying that after the Chelsea game.

Yes we need to strengthen, especially up front. But we have the makings of a solid top 10 side.
 
We finished 9th in the best league in the world despite having to play every 3 or 4 days for the final 20% of the season. Under normal circumstances we were pushing for a Champion's League place! Teams with much stronger benches were able to field 5 substitutes or rotate their teams while our players were absolutely knackered and running on empty. Yes we'll need some new legs to add depth next season and hopefully a bit more creativity up top, but all things considered, I don't have much to complain about this season.

Both excellent players and would add that little bit of flair up top that we are currently lacking. Redmond may be out of price range though as he is one of their star men. Would love him at the Lane though.

I'm sure Wilder is well aware of what changes and improvements are needed to/in the squad for next season. Favourites for relegation, limited finances compared to many clubs and he takes us to 9th, that's some manager. As much as we all post on here with our opinions and ideas very few of us will ever know how things really happen behind the walls of The Lane.
I look forward to Satdy afternoons when I can attend the games and enjoy how far we have come and the journey forward. UTB!
