Macca to leave us at the end of the season?

Apparently, according to today's Times, "Sheffield United assistant boss Stuart McCall wants to leave Bramall Lane at the end of the season to pursue his ambition to become a manager."

This makes me a sad panda. I was hoping that he would take over from Sir Neil when he moves upstairs as Director of Football, with Mr Brian Kidd as his number 2.

Do you reckon there's any truth in it? And would anyone be happy to see him go?

Maybe it's because Blackwell's on his way back after Master Bates sacks him

Call me synical. but with Warnock only being contracted untill the end of the season, does anyone else think McCall could be trying to force KM's hand. I wouldn't be surprised to see McCall appointed manager next summer.

I couldn't agree more, Tino - Warnock as Director of Football upstairs, doing the motivational stuff and acting as a figurehead, with McCall as the manager and Kidd as his assistant. That would be brilliant.
