Lundstram

I've never had so much loyalty to an employer that I wouldn't leave if a better opportunity arose at a competitor.

To him it's just his job and he's doing what anyone else on here would do in similar circumstances.

His only loyalties are to himself and his family.
Bit different me moving companies for extra £100 a month ....Its not a rational comparison when they get paid exuberant amounts. Its fucking greed

I really hope we bin him in the January transfer window and move him on. Bring in a couple of midfielders (they don't have to be expensive and there are a few good uns in the championship or lower who we could bring in to develop and can't be worse than Lundy so far this season), and a new left centre half.

Still think a wide attacking player would have served us well this year if we need to change it up top later on in games.
Probably printing monopoly money now .... can't see there being any real money to spend ... who knows stranger things happen!?

If he had been shit we wouldn't have offered him a new contract out of loyalty. The problem is we should have signed someone better in the summer.

Same difference.

In my experience the more people earn the more they spend.

He has a short career and a chance to set his family up for life.

Any sane person would do the same, unless they are already set for life, in which case lifestyle choices come into the equation.

I'd like to see Jed Wallace, John Swift or Emi Buendia. But the latter two may see their futures as being better served staying where they are given our trajectory.

Depends on the circumstances, I had been working for a company for less than 6 months when I was found to have cancer, & because of that & the treatment was off work for over 6 months, during which I was paid in full until my return to full time.
Later on when I started to make a name for myself I had many offers from within the industry, but I stayed loyal to my gaffer, after all it was the least I could do as he had shown loyalty & compassion to me despite being a newcomer.

That's a fair shout, that our chances, of getting a calibre of up and coming champ midfielder are hampered massively the more our form continues. We would've been better placed going for them in the summer.

Genuine question, but do we have any concrete evidence that Lundstram is a bad egg for the squad, as is sometimes suggested on here?

I don't agree with playing him on principle, given that he is running his contract down, when there are others more (contractually) commited to the cause. But do we have any evidence he is a bad influence?!

Other than, you know, he's got a right mard arse, dislikeable face.

I'd have thought Wilder would have him no where near the team if he was bad egg.

He’s mostly a bad influence because he’s not particularly good.

After this season so far I have to admit I was wrong and I retract my initial post, last year was clearly a fluke, he has a good engine but his quality is league 1 standard... Get him out of the club ASAP. Not good enough to represent us

Glad to see you came though it mate. It is definitely not all about money.

First off I don't think and, at no point have I thought, that Lundstrum is particularly good technically but I acknowledge he has a good engine and is hard working when arsed.

What people are forgetting is he is under no obligation to sign which does not make him a twat. Just because he hasn't signed that doesn't mean he's kicking off and causing drama, in fact its more likely he just wants to run his contract down with no dramas and then get a deal elsewhere. Not everyone is a blade remember!

I appreciate maybe the ship has sailed for some Blades fans but really hope either he or the club compromises. Our best option for RCM. Brilliant today.

Stupid lunge aside, he's probably been our most consistent midfielder this season.
We need to replace him with quality, and I'm not sure how we're going to do that on our budget.

Love to know who he's expecting to offer him a better deal on this season's poor performances?

Didn't even care if the ball went over the line or not release the bag of shite

Why is he still fucking here let alone playing.

I'd put an under 11 in for him, nevermind one of the under 23s.

Jesus wept.

Cancel. Contract. Now. The. Useless. Cunt.

I've generally defended him...but yeah, he desperately needs dropping. Just doesn't look bothered.

Its ovviousbhes not bothered and why would he be ? The one thing that de rails a big contract is a bad injury so no wonder hes not putting the effort in

How is this guy getting picked every week ?

I think he must be a MI6 operative and we have to keep playing him so he maintains his cover.

I used to think he had some dirt on Wilder or something, but he's gone now and he's still playing.

I wish a journalist had the bottle to ask how and why he is still playing. You can only blame the player so much - he is just doing himself out of his next contract. Its the management team that should be taking the real blame PLAYING HIM EVERY COMPETITIVE MINUTE

Jagielka at almost 40 years old puts in more of a shift than Lundstram. There surely had to be someone at the club to play instead of him, they can’t offer us any less that’s for sure.
