Lundstram played well today

... I've been as guilty as most for being critical of his performances but thought he was excellent today.

Never stopped talking and shouting. Loved that he was screaming at our guys to step it up as there were kicking off after they'd scored.

We're typically vulnerable after scoring and half time but he seemed to address this.

Top performance lad.

I noticed two misplaced passes and he wears yellow boots. He's not won me over yet.

i do think we have a player here, still needs time to adapt, just that initial speed of thought, just dwells on it occasionally, but definitely improving with every minute

Tbf he had a mare in his first game (which happens), but he's been solid since then, easing his way in.

He looked really good today though. Clearly doesn't control the game the way that Couttsinho does, but he brings other things to the table. Seemed right at home & comfortable, & was a big influence, I thought.

Is that the same as Lundstram and Sharp and Basham?

Talented young player making his way in the game. Those on here criticising him after he played a few minutes need to give their heads a wobble.

It'll be the same people who wrote off Coutts... and Clarke... and Freeman... and so on.

Criticism is fine, but giving it the big NGE is folly.

I like the the height he gives us in midfield. However, his passing is an obvious downgrade on Coutts. Did ok, 6.5/10 for me.

Solid enough. Still looks like he could lose some weight though?

He covered for Coutts well and currently that’s all he needs to do. So no problem for me.
The part of his game that impressed me most today was his two-footedness. I was with 2 neutrals that were overall very impressed with our play today, but commented after the game they genuinely could not tell if he was left or right footed.

He wasn’t too bad overall, but I wish he was stronger in the 50/50’s. I’m not suggestive that he deliberately neshes it, but all too often he doesn’t seem to be confident or committed enough to come away with the ball. He also seems to lack a bit of agility, at times balls that other players in the side would cut out bypass him, so maybe that’s part of the problem.

He seems to have some of the Coutts of old traits IMO so Wilder needs to work the same magic on him, but there’s definitely something to work with.

The sign of a good central midfielder doing what he needs to do in order to let those with more flair do what they need to do.
It wasn't a dig ,I didn't get in from work till about 330 didn't see the team and watched the game on a stream

I'm glad I didn't notice him like you say
