I went to the Eastleigh game Friday night, and Lundstram came on in the second Half, I have to be honest and say, he seriously reminded me of Dean Hammond, for this main reason, he was seriously predictable, every time he got the ball, it would go sideways, not once did he look up to play the ball forward, or an attacking area.

I hope I'm wrong but he really did remind me of Dean Hammond

Don't worry it was only one game, CW and AK really wanted to sign him and will try and work their magic.

He's also about 10 years younger than DH so time to improve yet. :)

How can he seem like Hammond when we couldn't see what Hammond did!!

Anyway, main problem with Hammond was that his legs had gone - he'd been OK in the past. Lundstram is a tough and fit fucker who'll keep us more solid at the back when we need to be than with Coutts, once he's settled in.

Yay !
I loved Deano !

:D

Give the lad some time eh?

Coutts reminded me of a paperweight until Wilder and Knill got hold of him.

Agree, but folk should post what they see think or feel. I hope Lundstram and Stearman become indespensible. Having an opinion dosen't mean the poster is slating anyone, just passing on an observation.

Absolutely, wouldn't want to see anyone attacked for an opinion. Likewise, I wouldn't want anyone to judge a player too harshly based on one pre season cameo, but it's up to them if they want to.

Agree on Stearman by the way. Positionally off and I think I can pass better than him o_O

cw is getting a squad together for players to compete in all areas, if they don't cut it, well?, like cw says. " I'm loyal to my players, but not sentimental" it's down to them, if they're not up to it I trust him to quickly make it right.

What a fucking joke post.

The word 'think' implies a considered use of the thought process. The OP just blahted out drivel after a mere 45 minutes of observation. FORTY FIVE MINUTES in a friendly FFS!

What happens if we don't win the first two games, Wilder out?

No problem with anyone posting their own thoughts but we don't want every passing observation trotted out without at least some coherent thought process.

BTW, I do have concerns over Stearman, mainly because both Wolves and Fulham considered him surplus to requirements. Obviously it would be mightily unfair to give him any stick until we've actually seen him play a few league games.

I am not sure about Stearman. Now fucking flay me alive.

His opinion is that Lundstram is similar to Hammond.

The opinion of the majority is that he's a fucking idiot for jumping to such a conclusion after 45 minutes on a wank pitch in a friendly at Eastleigh. Fucking Eastleigh.

My friend went to see the game and he was claiming he could oust Coutts as he believes him to be the more mobile version.

Maybe it's Mrs Coutts who started this thread?

Agreed but it also means that anyone can post whatever they think in answer also, Hopefully without name calling. If you put up an argument you are going to get opposite opinions and if the OP is seen as a bit unconsidered then posters are going to mention this.

To be fair some were rating Brooks at 50 million after 45 mins.

You can't have it both ways.
And plenty reminded them that they were being too quick to judge.

Brooks was worth £100,000,000 by the way. :)

Not disputing your mates opinion here but, if he is better than the Rolls Royce Coutts then he is some player.
Another thing if your mate is correct then well done wilder for getting Lundstram in.

With you on Stearman. I know we've not seen much of him so I look forward to being proved wrong, but I fear he could be a problem at the back.

If Coutts hasn't settled in yet ucdm, I don't think he ever will.

The fella is entitled to his opinion , I think it's a bit daft after a sub appearance in a friendly ,mind .
the guy probably didn't want to mess up , so take it steady and find a team mate .
I remember before the start of last season when our manager , got rid of , payed off , sold on ,
a shed load of players , put a few on the transfer list , some on this site said they'd drive em to there next club
2 in particular ( players ) not posters , are now first teamers and one scored a few goals last season ,
opinions we all have em just hold ya fire till after a few in combat before jumping to em that's all .
Because according to some ere ,
Tuffty was out of his depth after 4 games ffs .
100 points and champions , that's what I said throughout all last season ,
comfortable middle of the table one this year
