He's done nothing wrong, a long standing issue has flared up so he's not in the matchday squad altogether tonight.

I suppose it's not going to be ideal having Osborn playing there but I don't know who else could deputise if Fleck and L Freeman are unavailable?

The biggest bummer for me is O'Connell is still out!

Its left wing back that is his unnatural position. No idea why people think Osborn is playing out of position
Exactly.

Tbf I think Freeman has been treat pretty shoddily by and large, especially in the Villa game when he put Lunny on the left side and an unfit Fleck v Newcastle, but can't be a stick to beat the club with today. He's literally injured.

What has the poor lad done wrong ? Playing a left back in midfield instead of him
For me he’s a way off making the step up. He can do it and look decent against poorer opposition, but I haven’t seen enough of him taking hold of the game to really get excited by him.

I hope it’s down to injury rather than him being out of favour, there’s been more injury’s since lockdown than the past couple of seasons!! Spurs playing a very attacking line up so I’d have fancied Freeman to have had an impact

He's barely had a chance to in fairness to him, put Fleck on for 10 mins every 8 games and I dare say he'd not make much impact.

Freeman was great against Reading in his first start for a long time, and for my money made an impact in the game against Palace. There's not too many to call of.

We've only named 7 subs. If he was out of favour he'd be on the bench

He did ok, wouldn’t say great. Very light weight for me.

Flecks worst day is freeman’s best...

Nah that’s harsh on Freeman in what is a very restrictive and rigid system, especially when he’s barely played

Maybe, but I haven’t seen anything from him in his performances to suggest he’s ready to slot in.

From the summer signings we paid money for, I’d say he’s shown the least. Even Robinson had some moments before he went out on loan

Osborn is a natural CM.

For being in the championship so recently some have very limited knowledge of it.

Swap and cash for a Eberechi? Would not mind at all due to Fleck and Osborn ruling the roost in that LCM position.

I think it's not worked out for this guy at the Lane. He's had very few chances to play. Always done OK but not brilliant. Since the restart it seems he's not been picked (eg when Lunny was put on the left). After that , Osborn has done well. So it'll be no surprise if he moves on to get playing time + resurrect his career.

Still think he has a future here; certainly not writing him off (continues to bang that drum).

Either way, the OP didn't age all that well did it? Osborn has been either solid or excellent depending on the game. And he was always a midfielder filling in at left (wing) back anyway, so it's nice to see him in his proper position.

Shame he’s been injured at the same time as Lunny and fleck - would have been a great tome for him to get some much needed game time.

I still think he has a lot to offer but it wouldn’t surprise me if he fancied a move to get abit more first team football. Though as Osborn has shown, wait your turn and perform and who know what might happen.

Feel like he'll be off in the Summer. Osborn's performances has probably shifted him down to 3rd choice in Wilder's eyes. Wouldn't blame him if he wanted to go and get more football.

I think he'll go too. Would make a great make weight for a deal with one of the sides going down.
I'm not sure many of the clubs already in the Championship will match his wages, so it'd be difficult to trade him back to QPR for Eze as suggested.
Fulham, Brentford, Forest - whichever doesn't make it up? They all have players that I'd like in our side..
