Loyalty Points

Anyone happen to know if we still need loyalty points for home fixtures? Trying to find a way of getting 3 visiting pals a ticket, and wondered if I could just set them up with an account & number etc, and then get them a ticket that way...only thing is they would all have zero points... Cheers.

Potentially might sort it for you if you go down to the ticket office and ask very nicely

They seem to be getting quite strict on this. Our Jack couldn't go on Saturday, so I went to the ticket office to upgrade his ST. They would only do it if the recipient was a customer. It was for my daughter, who was, so they applied the upgrade.

But you could have said it was for her even if it wasn't?

But what if I didn't have a daughter on the system and it was just for a friend who fancied coming to a game.
Although to be fair, I'm not sure many would want to come and watch us at the moment. :(

The policy in the prem was that you needed a purchase history and x points already on your account. I doubt they've continued this, but each ticket holder still needs their own individual account I believe. I'd set the three accounts up, link them together using the family and friends thingy and then attempt to buy the tickets online. If it doesn't let you (because you need x points), ring the club, quote the membership numbers for these accounts you have just made and attempt to buy that way.
I have a burner account for precisely this reason. If you need to use it DM me and I'll pass the number on.

First year in the premier league for Brighton at home I was able to buy my mate (a few loyalty points) plus 3 others (with zero points) tickets.

I think I had to wait until they went to general sale, created 3 new accounts and linked my mates, then bought 4 tickets online and assigned them to their accounts. I would imagine in the championship where we aren’t selling out would be just as easy.

Ticketing policy is all a load of bollocks anyway. Add people to your friends list, associate yourself with other ticket holders, get loyalty points for a summer friendly away at Fuckall Rovers etc. All fine and dandy when you're doing well and some people are prepared to jump through hoops to get into the swing of the sweet smell of success. But when you're shite, making it as difficult as possible to get an away ticket, or take a visiting mate to the match, will end up with people not bothering to fuck about with all the protocol. It's become by royal appointment only. Someone can't just decide on a Saturday morning (as they could in the past) that they fancy going to a match (home or away), wander down, pay at the turnstile and get a seat ticket.
Consistently make it as difficult as possible, and unless you're then consistently ripping up the league, people will give up..........

Be aware that adding to friends and family online hasn't been working recently, but may have been fixed. If not, they will do it if you call the ticket office
