Any truth in the rumour circulating in darker parts of Heeley that the club are adding purchase of ale and pies in the ground to the loyalty point scheme in order to boost sales?

Holy crap, your intelligece gathering is even better than the Israelies!

OK IF and I mean IF there is meat in the pies AND sauce in the sauce station I will consider it

It's true that the club is looking into how the people that spend the most in tickets and retail will be rewarded within the loyalty point system .

But I’m certainly not loyal enough to buy what passes for food and beer at BDTBL.
To be fair if you stick to a cup of tea and a twirl you don't go far wrong. At least they don't put milk, tea bag and water in at the same time 😀

Imagine the chaos when 🔔 end behind the counter can’t scan your ST and the mounting furry behind in the queue 🙈
That’s a vivid imagination you have but I can absolutely understand there’d be chaos with two dogs shagging behind you in the queue 😳

I can’t remember the last time I bought any scran at the lane; too expensive and poor quality.

But I’ve got to admit it’s a brilliant marketing tool to add loyalty points to sales, and it does make sense if ‘loyalty’ means how much money you put in. Unfortunately, it also means that those with most disposable cash could fly up the system rather than those who travel.

I suppose it rests on how many points per pound spent you get. If it is going to happen, what would the best amount be?

One thing they could do is allow us to spend our clubcash on food and drink. Being someone who doesn’t really wear team merch, I never know what to do with my clubcash.

Just like at my local cinema. Earn points attending, spend them on more tickets or snax.

The Club shop I get, but loyalty points to boost Compass’ coffers is a no-no from me. Would be interesting to see if this shifts the profile of those eligible for away tickets in time though.

This might be the end of this rumour as, its not actually in the clubs interest is it? We just got a lump sum for the contract and compass keep all the sales revenue?

I wouldn't touch the slop they serve.

So maybe they should give me loyalty points to get me to try it. Hmmm, nah, not enough incentive.

The price of things is bad enough in shops. Then you go to the Lane and its super inflated for everything. Why am I paying £3 or whatever for a bottle of coke? Give me 300 points for that at least! (Joke). I just go to shop before or after the match, sorry SUFC or sorry Compass more to the point.

Unless they’re thinking about taking the catering back in-house? (Nothing to suggest this is the case, but if it were it would make sense that they’re interested in ways of boosting sales).

Wasn't it only a year or so go that the contract was renewed? Cant remember any of the details on that

I agree as I think it is unfair on travelling fans (and it would not benefit me).

I can see how it could boost sales though, if, as others has said, it can be sorted with the catering contract and they get the points per pound enough to tempt people.

I think purchases of the kit should award loyalty points, especially when kits are so much cheaper on DH Gate it gives a bit more incentive to buy from the club if the points are generous.

Limit loyalty points to all purchases above £50 would be good too.

I did suggest to the club when they changed over from the (working perfectly for years) 20% discount scheme for ST holders, to the (overly complex, give them less but encourage them to spend more) club cash system, that the club should designate a charity at the start of the season and any unspent club cash should be donated to them every July.

I did get the auto generated acknowledgement of email response, but nothing else.

Is anyone considering how unfair this would be, when you purchase an ST the number of points available to collect should be the same for every ST holder.

Start giving points for booze and the entire under 18 fan base has been denied a points collecting stream that’s available to 18s and over.

So lets make it even harder for our younger fans to travel to away matches and see how that goes in a few years.

Do you get loyalty points for supporting the team or club ?. If club what about people who follow womens or academy (u21 / u18s ) home and away. Especially on non school days . Just interested.

That’s a really nice idea. I would happily donate mine to Weston Park or similar.
