You come back from an international break and you are in a position now where you have to take points from every single fixture. This league is ordinarily relentless and lives up to its usual complex nature by throwing one of the most in form teams around at us from the off….. that game was huge.

But what a way to respond and what a fantastic team performance. Going back to the title of my thread, how do you comfortably pick anyone out as a clear man of the match after that? It is a fantastic dilemma to have at this stage of the season.

Start at the back and you have Anel winning everything and playing with such composure, but defensively we were solid all round. From opposition balls into the box, you had blocks and clearances from Brewster, BBD, Choudhury, Peck and more. Defensively we displayed so much discipline and resilience, it was brilliant.

In Midfield you have Gus linking up with the front men and making us tick, not to mention his sublime free kick. But a great deal of his freedom was down to the fantastic work of Choudhury and Peck in the middle of the park behind him. All of who are stand outs in their own merit.

And then the forward line… Campbell once more looking the real deal. His all round game play is a class above this league I feel personally. But brewdog is linking in and dragging players out of position with his cleaver movement… he even grabs himself another goal.

Take nothing away from the significance of that performance and win. From the back to the front it was a solid effort and we did all of the basics correctly for the most. I’m not highlighting a single MOTM, that was all about the team. Too many stand outs and a lovely position to be in.

Spot on.

I could argue several cases for MOTM. Anel, Choudry, Peck, Gamer, Campbell all have valid cases.

That was a huge game tonight, they're no mugs, and might get through the play offs. A lot of pressure on Burnley tomorrow as Brizzle City are a solid team too, with PO ambitions of their own.

Big win tonight. Very big win indeed.

We set a benchmark tonight. Maintain those standards for the next 7 games & we’re up as champions.
The press from front to back tonight was off the scale. Coventry first half truly had nothing like an answer. For once it was nice to relax and enjoy rather than shit your pants for last 20 fearing an equalizer.

Lots of good performances but Gus takes the MOM by some distance, simply on another level.

On a difficult night to try and pick one, Sydie Peck was Man of the Match for me. Choudhury, Gus, Anel and so on, just a great team performance and a joy to watch.

4 man of the match comments and only 1 player of the match comment, proper old school throwback comments love it, the BBC and sky will have a meltdown, you can't have man of the match where you are deciding on the best player in a game played by 22 men, it has to be player of the match because women play football too, dinosaur fan base us 😂
