The lad is 18 in July so he easily qualifies for the England U-18's. The lad is another one of our short !! list of players who have achieved such status at this age. Congratulations to him and the club, indeed well done Nigel Clough who has given the lad plenty of playing time throughout the season. Not eve ry manager would have given such a small lad so much encouragement. Credit where credit is due. We have a proper player on our hands.

Delighted for the lad. Hope he plays well enough not to be subbed at half-time. Wouldn't want it to become a habit.

His form has been patchy but you're always going to take an opportunity like this when it comes up, he's still young and learning, lets see how he develops. There's one thing though now, he's in the limelight so people have certainly noticed him and it could see him move on in the summer if he continues to impress certain people.

True enough. I just worry when I see youngsters like Reed and Harry Kane spend their summers playing football rather than letting their bodies and minds recover.

I agree, there's not a lot of time to get these fixtures done though, you have to play them at some point and i suppose it's unfortunately the price you pay for being noticed. All holidays cancelled

As much a habit of your continued criticism of a 17 year old playing his first season in the football league....are you the frustrated relative of a youth player who didn't make it by any chance?
