Went to get mine a week or so back and there was limited availability around Gangway G of the Kop (have had a season ticket previous seasons but was moving up there for the first time this year).

Looking on the online plan, most areas of the South Stand appear to have limited availability, as well as the Kop having areas with limited availability, which wasn't the case last year.

The cup run and improvement in performances seems to have attracted a lot of people back to the Lane and with a good start and the amount of local derbies, we could be looking at pushing 20k average attendance, class for a 4th season in League One.

Quality effort Unitedites. UTB

Isn't that because last season's ST holder's seats remain unavailable until the early bird deadline passes? The non-renewals aren't evident yet on the plan.

Still, I hope we'll flog a thousand or two more than last year.

yes however you'd think after last season 99% of them would renew

Was planning on returning to the ST fold this season, after lapsing last year. However, I'm holding tight now, if Maguire signs a new contract I'll get an ST, if they flog him I think I'll not bother. If they have money to spend then there is absolutely no reason to sell Maguire (bar a ridiculous offer ie £5m)

I think a few people will be thinking like you. Its not necessarily all about buying STs because the club has bought a few players (which some people do) its about what important players actually stay aswell

My thoughts exactly.

What if Harry wants to leave to further his career? I'd say that's a pretty good reason.

Of course he can but its a simple case of economics, others can pay more.
Pay more, play at a higher level, play with better players around him etc etc.
If he signs a new deal the lads showing a serious level of loyalty to the club possibly to the detriment of his own career.
I personally don't rate him as highly as many on here, but I think we all can agree that he'll have offers at Championship level.

We could always sell him to Rotherham or the pigs then after all they will be at a higher level, gotta love how a lot of Unitedites think small time just like our boardroom.

Who said sell them to Wednesday or Rotherham? I said he might want to leave to further his career and play at a higher level to test himself.
You disagree with playing at a higher level would improve him?

This ^^^^^^^
Harry (and his agent)
has to think about himself as well as the club (which I'm sure figures in his decision)

Starting with Mick Jones, they've spent 47 years selling the family silver and that policy has never worked. They start acting like a proper club and build a team around players like Maguire and they get my £450 for a ST.

Those attacking the club aren't answering the question of if Harry wants to go to further his career?
What do you do then?
If Harry wants to stay I've no doubt that he will.

I thought the whole point of the prince's investment was so that we could pay more for our home grow players and keep them?
I'd also say HM's career would be best staying and playing first team football under Nigel for another year then playing at the higher level as club captain the next year, rather than sitting on the bench for the next couple of seasons at a 'higher level' club.
Got to remember he's only 21 so still got another 15 years or so to play at a higher level and Nigel's probably one of the best nurturers of young talent there is.

As much as anything, I want the club to make a statement of intent. Show the fans and anyone else for that matter that we mean business

Do we have some game changing investment or don't we?

Did we rake in around the £2m mark from the FA Cup or didn't we?

Personally, I'd sooner see us spend less on a f'kin lump of grass and more on showing the fans that the statement made regards the investment meaning we can keep our best players is actually true

If this Prince of ours is serious about getting out of this God forsaken division he'll show his resolve, stop fannying about and do what's necessary

I hear the words "sensible investment" Well personally, I see keeping one of our better players as sensible investment

I'm not convinced Harry is keen to jump to the championship as yet, not at 21 anyway. Clough says he's a bit of a home bird. The player is reported to have said he loves it at the club. He can see what Clough has achieved in the 6 months he's been here. I can only think we are trying to tie him down on the cheap

It looks likely we've lost arguably two of our best performers in Coady and Brayford. If we lose Maguire that'll be three. That gap is goner take quite a bit of plugging and whilst it's early days and we don't know what Clough and the gang are actually up to, the players we are reported to be linked with haven't yet convinced me that we have/are replacing the quality we had and actually gone and improved on last season to get to the level required

Finally, perhaps showing some intent and resolving the Maguire issue may be offset by recouping some of the money spent on Maguire by increased ticket sales

Time will tell, but sort it out please

If he joined Wolves, do you think that would be furthering his career or more about money?
Well its def not furthering his career,do we think Wolves are a 'bigger' club than us ..no of course they're not.is Jackett a better manager than our Nige ?..I know who I'd rather have ..Wolves are just a season in front of us .thats all.
Give it a couple of seasons and we'll be waaaaaay in front of them !

This is nonsense. You think someone is going to sign him in the championship for £3-4 million and not play him?
If he goes to a championship club he will play which is something we can't offer for at least another season and possibly longer.

I don't think it's relevant from our point of view but to answer the question he would be furthering his career and earning more money.
If he wants to go then United can't stop him - that's the point that some on here can't or don't want to grasp.

Isnt that the same thing ? Sadly .

Seems to be the case these days, however it looks a nothing move to me. How much more improvement has Harry got left in him for some other team to come and pay bigger money for him so it will end up that Wolves will end up being his lot. He should wait and hopefully he will get a move.

Of course Wolves could have another good season and be another Norwich or Southampton (which is what we're aiming for) however would you go all in on that move?

From my point of view I want the best for Harry. If it's not with us I just hope this isn't his 'big move'

But you'd admit that it's Harry's decision to make not the club.
If he wants to go our only alternative is to keep a player who doesn't want to be here and get even less for him in any future transfer.
