Maybe we can start playing it to the feet instead of hoofing it to his head all the time IMHO

He made himself look a real pillock today with that dive.

That highlights that Wilder has invested lots of money on the wrong the players. McBurnie you get 1 good game from him as a striker in about 20 matches at this level.

I'm one of the ones who still likes McBurnie and think that we don't do him any favours with our 'style' of play (hoof it up front at every opportunity). He is still a good young player who can score goals if given the right sort of service.

That said, it's clear that with confidence low, and our midfield currently playing collectively at division 1 standard and therefore providing fuk all service to the front lads, in a strange way McBurnie being injured will force CW into playing a different front two, and our players cannot just be cowards all game and aimlessly belt the ball down the middle for 95 mins. You never know, it might actually force us into trying to be braver on the ball and play to feet.

Then again, I still believe in Father Christmas.

Play out from the back make the midfield do some work and you never know that guy may just be real 😜

Has McBurnie ever played as a “hoof it to him” target man in previous teams? Or is it only us he’s enjoyed this progressive and successful tactics?
