Hendrick from Burnley was rumoured, a player I've always liked & seems to be very chummy with Egan & Stevens going from Insta. Will also be familiar with McGoldrick & Robinson.

He would come in & compete with Lundstram & Norwood & would give us some physicality in the middle of the park. Believe he's out of contract next Summer so may be able to prise him away without breaking the bank.

I'd like to think that we will have done well enough by Christmas to not need too many January signings as IMO CW seems to be a better summer shopper than he is in the January sales. Hanson and Carruthers were pretty average at best, Holmes and Leonard didn't make the grade despite being chased for ages and while the Madine and Hogan loans gave the promotion squad a bit of competition the fact that they were not pursued for the Prem campaign is testament to their true quality.
(please don't quote Norwood as a January signing as that deal was done in the summer on a buy now pay later deal)
If we are to sign players I think the defence needs better quality back ups but maybe loans with options to buy (not solid commitments) would be the safer way to go.

It was our January transfer business that got us promoted .not individually but in providing options that before we didn't have .

I think Kyle Walker is a good shout. He seems to have a few detractors amongst the City fans and his England place isn’t guaranteed anymore.
