Nothing like ruining your stats by taking over this season! Probably a good ploy for any incoming manager to go through these last few games with a fine toothcomb to get an idea of what he's inheriting and what he's going to do with them in terms of keeping, selling/releasing and how we're going to approach things next season.

I'd hope that once we hear the final whistle against Burnley, we'll get an announcement on the manager in the days after.
If the new guy is in place, in secret, he can also get a view of the players attitude behind the scenes, before they put on a show for him. Could be useful for sorting out what to do next.

I think we broke him when we didn't turn up for his 'singing section'.

Nevermind.

Did anyone ever meet him through that singing section? I always thought he was some super statto teenager with a few anger issues. But he's been posting for years.

I might be mistaken but I'm pretty sure Tyler/Bashar/NIN went along, or met him in person via other means.

A quiet, unassuming bloke who wouldn't say boo to a goose if memory serves me right (but don't rely too heavily on my memory...I never do).

I've text him to find out seeing as he's banned for the 118th time.

Makes sense. To be honest, I thought he was a decent poster, knew a lot about football, offered debate. Just got the feeling that's all he really had in life. Also, he couldn't control himself + think he might have a few issues. Check BM forum for his solo ramblings.

He fucked me off quite a lot, besides his ramblings. I didn't say anything most of the time because I try not to argue with strangers online anymore.

He had an infuriating habit of posting his opinion as fact, and would routinely get annoyed about things he deemed to be true despite the fact he had absolutely no concrete evidence to back up the thing he was getting annoyed about.

It's like getting pissed off about your wife having an affair when all that's happened is she's out with friends a little bit more and hasn't quite been herself lately. She could indeed be having an affair, but you haven't actually asked her about it and it's not like she's come home with bites on her neck, so why get mad about something you can't say is definitely happening?

Isn't Tindall's presence explained by him being a mate of Bettis ?
The old pals act.
For a multi million dollar outfit carrying the hopes of half a city , we are run like a stall on a car-boot sale.
So you shouldn't make use of your contacts?

This seems to be taking ages.

Also; it might not be and I might just be really impatient.

Is this the longest it’s ever taken?

but there’s a reason.....no new manager would want to come knowing they face instant failure.
You could easily end up with a situation where everyone wants him sacked before next season has even started.

Trust me....the professional way is to have a temp care taker.
Then we appoint a new manager as soon as the season finishes.
There will be loads of excitement and optimism with the new man because it would be a totally fresh start.

You ok pal?!

Not sure I agree with the suggestion that it makes sense for the new manager to join at the end of the season. "Having a relegation on your CV" is absolute nonsense - it means nothing to anyone given that we're already down. Having to manage through a few likely losses? Surely that tells you things about your team you can't learn from a distance. Nearly all of our rivals will already have detailed plans for their summer transfer targets, and it's usually the case that the quicker deals are done the better. We've got a new manager to come in and assess the squad, taking into account their summer break, then decide on who to sell and who to keep. Even if they're watching the games from afar they're missing out on everything you learn from people in person, on the training ground.

It might be that there are external factors meaning that we can't get someone in before the end of the season, in which case fair enough. But I don't buy the idea that it's otherwise a good approach.
