To me its looking more obvious the manager we've got lined up is already in a job and wants to finish the season wherever they are first , plus what is the point of coming in now for the rest of this dead season , i believe they will be watching from afar and will already have someone in place watching the day to day running of the club/players .

Owd Abby dunt fuck abart. Well have got someone ready to come in as soon as the season finishes.

Nothing like ruining your stats by taking over this season! Probably a good ploy for any incoming manager to go through these last few games with a fine toothcomb to get an idea of what he's inheriting and what he's going to do with them in terms of keeping, selling/releasing and how we're going to approach things next season.

I'd hope that once we hear the final whistle against Burnley, we'll get an announcement on the manager in the days after.

This seems to be taking ages.

Also; it might not be and I might just be really impatient.

Is this the longest it’s ever taken?
We're basically going to hire Wilder again. The prince has taken the chance to furlough him whilst also not having a relegation on his Sheff United CV.

Damned if they do, damned if they dont

Take their time and were all crying and telling the Prince to pull his finger out

Appoint straight away and we've rushed it

There was no point giving someone the poisoned chalice of this season, they would be drawn into the negative mindset in the dressing room

Best to walk in as a breathe of fresh air once the players have had their summer break, and go then

I suspect they are down to a couple - and want to make sure

I think it also explains Tindall's presence if what he's doing is making assessments of the squad and such for when a new manager arrives. Makes sense to give a new manager a clean slate and not this current situation where there's almost nothing they can do to improve things.

Or that our chosen manager has signed a 'non compete' style clause from a previous contract/severance agreement that runs out at the end of the season and we don't want to compensate said out of work manager for the loss of this dosh...

I can see the new man or him and is team being introduced before the squad breaks up for the summer.
Maybe give the players fitness programmes for the summer break.

Not even close and the timing isn’t particularly damaging. We’re doing due diligence during a time when we’re playing dead rubbers. Look across the city their chairman deliberately sacked a manager before January and didn’t appoint another one until after in order to deliberately make no signings. If this runs on into the summer then I’ll have major concerns but so long as it’s concluded before the seasons end then there’s no issues.

I reckon by now we have a manager in waiting. I just hope it isn't Eddie Howe with Tindle reporting back to him who is worth keeping.

Isn't Tindall's presence explained by him being a mate of Bettis ?
The old pals act.
For a multi million dollar outfit carrying the hopes of half a city , we are run like a stall on a car-boot sale.

I've never got this outrage at Bettis getting Tindall in tbh

Said the same myself. Out of work former Premier League assistant with Championship management experience and a couple of promotions under his belt. Whether he knows Bettis or not, or it's something to do with Howe, it's another experienced pair of hands and voice on the training ground.

I think it's 100% sj

Yep. A bit like when Wilder brought a few of his own pals to the club

Al-Gharafa play in the quarter finals of the QFA cup tomorrow @ 8pm, if they lose that game their season is over and Jokanovic has no more games to manage.
right thats interesting got to be either jokanovic or howe

Bettis is the man who some of our fans love to hate. He's southern (fact) and 'probably gay' (not fact) according to what I've seen people say. He's on a hiding to nothing.
