I know we're only allowed two loans from Premier League teams but does anyone know the restrictions on loaning from other leagues?

Given the cost of everything it might be worth looking at the Championship to see if teams have players they want to shift off their wage bill in exchange for us paying their wages. Could potentially bring in a couple to sure up the squad whilst being extremely low risk.

• The maximum number of loans registrable in the same season is four, and, under no circumstances, shall more than one be from the same club at any one time.
• Premier League clubs cannot loan to another Premier League club a player they have acquired in the same transfer window.
• A Premier League club may loan not more than one of its goalkeepers to another Premier League club.

He makes what’s seems a decent point “why don’t we consider (as a last resort) loaning from the Championship instead of the PL”.

The problem is players available for loan are players that are currently not required in the squad.
So by definition, any players sent out on loan are usually lower standard than the club they are playing it.

So bringing in loanees from a Championship club are going to be nearer to league 1 standard.
Loanees from PL clubs are generally going to be Championship standard however there are sometimes weird situations where a PL club has surplus in certain areas but either doesn’t want to sell or are unable to sell.

So for SU it’s only PL loans that can be considered good enough for our squad.
