Blades : Gibbs-White,Davies,Olson,Hourihane - basically one starter.



Thoughts on massive loans, good or bad in the long run. For sure loans have improved Forest massively

Well they're clearly a good thing. If we didn't have Gibbs-White there's no way we'd have been in the play off picture, and if we didn't sign him we wouldn't have signed anyone of even similar ability maybe even no one at all.

Nobody forces you to have a team full of loans, that's the clubs choice.

Well we wouldn't be anywhere near the playoffs without Gibbs-White, so swings and roundabouts.

And, loans are now a massive part of managing your squad. Good loan decisions are almost as important as permanent transfers these days and I have no issue with clubs who utilise them fully.

Taking advantage of the loan system is just part of the furniture now, with how PL teams stock up their squads.

I think our loans this year probably get graded a B.

MGW is one of the most exciting players to grace Bramall Lane in red and white in the last few years, even when we were in the Prem.
Davies is a steady eddie, and was signed when JLT was dropping clangers left right and centre. Someone we'd chased previously.
Hourihane is so so average, and I very much hope we don't sign him permanently. A desperation signing because we were lacking bodies, and Fleck at the beginning of the season was rubbish.
Olsen, the less said the better.

It still baffles me that given the form of Djed Spence even in January time that Boro didn't think to recall him.
It sounds like he might be off for a big fee in the summer too.

You've missed Charlie "Not So" Goode and, technically, Filip Uremovic. Add one to the crap list (Goode) and one to the mediocre (Uremovic).

I honestly believe if Forest go up they come in for Lowe & Brewster from us.

Agreed. Unfortunate about Goode, I think he could have been a decent one, and I'm sure he'd have been available to buy permanently if things worked out.

Uremovic will go down in the Retsos/Zikovic camp I think in years to come, the only half memory fans may have of him being the glaring miss against Bournemouth. Unless he scores tomorrow or at Wembley, that is.
