When does the loan window close, we are in desperate need of another striker, we could have done with Slew on yesterday 2nd half. I don't rate
Porter at all slow, disinterested and offers nothing. He should have been subbed at half time yesterday. I also think we need a winger, Flynn
seems to lightweight and I don't rate Mendez-Laing, as an aside we will play worse than yesterday and win, if we keep creating openings I'm sure
we'll give someone a good hiding. Be handy if PNE gets called off plenty of time to prepare for the vermin coming to the Lane. Good day out
yesterday and another new ground.

Last round of international games PNE game got called off owing to international call ups, and if they get same call ups this time our game will be
called off.

Is it this week they name the squads?

I agree on Porter, he offers absolutely nothing at all from what I've seen of him so far and doesn't really look to be putting the effort in. Cresswell at least offers a physical presence and should be starting alongside Ched. We are short in that area, I wonder if Morgan fancies a stint up front?!

With all the big earners from last year still here (except Relish - and hasn't he transformed Wall?) and gates of 17500, there's no way we can get anyone else in. This is what the development squad is for isn't it?

Why not give Philliskirk or Tonne a chance at least from the bench

Love it how opinions change from one game to the next ,Porter/Evans were superb as a partnership against Colchester ,much more movement than any previous partnership for a couple of years ,why the fuck would he be 'disinterested' and 'not putting any effort in' ?

Porter would also thrive on balls coming from wide but at the moment we don't offer enough width, everything comes from the middle of the pitch .

you may be right raul and tbh i stated in another thread maybe we should give philliskirk or tonne a chance upfront, maybe start with one and ched then mix em up with cress or start with cressy and tonne or philliskirk then in second half drop ched on for a tired cressy.

Doesn't matter how you shuffle them - If you've got shite cards you will get a crap hand!

Porter - not good enough - waste of time signing him!
Cresswell - tired, has-been carthorse - can't head a ball - slow
Evans - Flatters to deceive -vastly overpriced - shows in flashes
Tonne - had very little chance to prove himself
Philliskirk - Ditto

If we are relying on that crew to get us out of this division delusion has set in!!! But Hey Danny says they were fantastic on Saturday - So no problems!!

My opinion of Porter hasn't changed at all, although I've only seen 5 games (3 away, 2 home) and didn't witness him against Colchester. I'm just saying it as I see it.

We can not accept strikers doing ok again crap opposition. So evans and porter did well again colchester but who are they? Huddersfield showed us how to finish, we need strikers that can do it again all the side not just the burys, colchesters and yeovils of this league. We will need 3 goals against the top of the table side on Saturday and at this moment in time i can't see who will get them.

Wrong - Porter looked just about OK against the worst centre-back pairing ever seen at BDTBL.

Whatever ,like I would take the slightest bit of notice of one your opinions. Too busy tossing off about Nadine ,Sharp ,Le Fondre and any other non-blade no doubt.

...and Yeates, Ward, France, Jordan, Nosworthy, Bent, Calve, Lowry, Mattock, Riise, Vokes, Wright, Kozluk, Bogdanovic and Slew.

Don't let them kid you, the wage bill has already been slashed.
Besides, if we didn't have a faulty fax machine we'd already have added two of Ranger's central midfielders to our wage bill.
I suspect that DW has some wriggle-room if he decides he need a striker. More pace and skill needed for me, someone like Slew.
I've not seen much of Philliskirk or Tonne but if they fit the bill, give them a chance before borrowing. That WAS meant to be the new policy.

Think we've all cranked one out for Nadine. Haven't we? Haven't we??
