The views on Semple are great. You can imagine the potential for a culture shock, moving from Sheffield to Dumfries and to a pretty different level of football, but their fans have taken to him from the off and he's clearly got stuck in and done well. I assume a loan to a slightly higher level might follow for the second half of the season.

I think he’s quite familiar with Scotland, his family are originally from there, I believe. But still a bold move for him and it’s good that it’s worked out for him. Big knockback getting a bad injury but he’s dealt with that, dealt with a testing loan move. He’s obviously got the mental strength required.
