Nice to see George doing well. I think he will eventually leave us and appears to have found his level.

Bit mixed on the others. Thought Whiteman was supposed to be doing well but seems to be going backwards.
 
Whitemans a strange one, scored a hat trick for them (from midfield) - not good enough :confused:

Can’t see any of the others ever playing for us again.

I think George is a classic example to give when anybody says footballers are only in it for the money, they are mercenaries, they don't care etc.

I think the weight of expectation on him was too great at too early an age and he suffered greatly for it because he DID care and I'm sure he felt he was letting himself, the club and the fans down.

He is only 24 so I hope he goes on to forge a great career away from Bramall Lane

But to be serious for a moment - and maybe a point his Dad could comment on , given he's still ours , how is this helping either him or us?

If his race here is run then will his c.v be enhanced with a big R on it if this carry on or will being quietly out of the way back here give him a better chance of finding a club?
 
I think the last time I read this update the donny fans were very positive with Whiteman suddenly they want to send him back, I watched long at the weekend against Peterborough he played very well pulled off a couple of very good saves. Appreciate your time spent Roy, cheers

I think the more he plays the more likely he is to get offered a contract somewhere but I do wonder if he wouldn't be better off at a side that wasn't completely shit. Same with Whiteman. But we have to take a lot of these comments with a pinch of salt. If they were as bad as some of the posters were saying they are, they wouldn't even be in the team. Maybe playing for a shit side is character building?
 
Great news regarding Long. I’d have predicted him sliding to lower leagues than this. I watched him on Sunday and he’s quite a unit now, and able to get into the mix on crosses - something that always let him down.

Not looking good for the rest of the loaners mind.

Funny, Whiteman is definitely going backwards according to these reviews.

Yeah without coming across too snobby at teams like Chesterfield when you are at the foot of the league and struggling a lot of fans will see it as if you can't run fast, aren't throwing yourself into tackles or able to head the ball 50 yards up into the air then you are a waste of a shirt.
 
I'm sure Ricky said Whiteman had been nominated for League One player of the month too which makes the Donny comments strange
 
So in summary.....

Long is great.
Reed s crap
Wilson is ok
Hussey is decent
Whiteman is indifferent.
