Good that they're all doing fairly well. I've got a feeling that Whitman might be back in our squad from January.

Makes you feel like Chelski when 4 of our 5 loanees are being really drooled over by their host fans!

I'm not at all surprised at Whiteman and Wilson, but George seems to be becoming a Womble hero and Hussey's left peg has started working the magic that we expected here.

I think Ben would probably be an improvement on Lundstram at present.

We've not seen the best of Lundstram yet. It's coming out on DVD around Christmas.

Some fantastic reviews there, but to be honest there's only Whiteman I ever want to see back at the Lane.

Surprised that Walsall and Swindon didn't make the moves permanent before the transfer deadline based on the comments made. Can't think that United would have stood in the way.
Encouraging reports coming from Donny fans confirming Ben Whiteman is progressing well, and they like a lot of Blades fans think he will be back at the Lane in January. I for one would be pleased by that.

The biggest mistake Adkins made (amongst many others of course) was playing Hammond ahead of Whiteman. On 2nd thoughts, the best thing Adkins did (amongst many others of course) was doing exactly what he did and helping to put us where we are now. Thanks for being 90% useless Nigel, and for the other 10% in bringing Billy back to us.

Roy , yet another first rate contribution . With Wilders well aired views on loans for the best of the Academy and another good crop coming through you could be very busy on this front too . Thank you in advance .

Because the player won't want to take a pay cut and the clubs won't want to pay any more: I doubt Swindon or Walsall are covering all their wages.

great write up s for whiteman and long.whiteman doesn't really surprise me and I really hope Long makes a decent career for himself. I'm not sure it would ever work for him here, but I'm not sure the blades did him any favours, playing an inexperienced goalie behind some bomb scare defenders over the last few seasons

"The Blunts must have a fantastic midfield if he cant get in the team.”

Yes, we have thank you very much!

Gone are the days where we'd envy Donny's midfield. Coutts and Fleck are our Stock and Wellens.

Looking at Donny's team, with Whiteman at the heart of it, they should do well this season. They have some good players there. Top half should be the minimum aim for them.

regards Wilson, was this comment takin the piss or serious. solid centre backs aren't usually at fault for 2 goals in a game

“looked solid, should have done better on the first and second goals.”

No that was the actual quote. I was confused also

Nice to see George Long is playing well for Wimbledon
Perhaps the pressure playing for us was a bit too much for a young lad

I suspect the Wimbledon fans aren't immediately on his back at the slightest mistake which will certainly have helped. He'll be absolutely fine finding a club as first choice keeper at a club in League 1 or 2 once he leaves us permanently.

I just saw my mate, who is a Chesterfield fan, comment on Reed 'I'm convinced [he] was drunk' after yesterday's performance. Sounded like a terrible game all round, mind.

Good to hear that most of them are doing well .Reed sounds like what we know that he can make a good pass but his physical stature limits him and he would be nowhere near our midfield at the moment
Cheers Roy for the updates

Sounds more or less like we are where we left off. Hussey and Long can play a bit, but not at a club as big as ours. Reed is just not good enough. Wilson is a lump who will head and kick everything, but also isn't going to be good enough to take the step up. Whiteman is the bollocks and will be in the mix again in January. He'll be a proper player for us.

Woodwardfan would say your mate is the one that is drunk :)

Very strange post Silent. Uncalled for, silly, inaccurate, contrived and negative against a young player.

After the England game last Friday it was said that English players lack the ability to play chance creating opportunities for their strikers. Reed can do that but it is very difficult in a team at the bottom of League 2. They do appear to be playing him in an advanced position which will bear fruit I'm sure. O'Grady is not the type who wants precise through balls to match his timed run to shoot at goal I'm afraid and there we go.

I am confident the lad will be Chesterfield's Man of the Season and I wish him and Chesterfield all the best. What stake have you got in the lad?

My cousin still likes him but is worried about the manager.

Cheers Panchero!

To be honest, I am glad to see they are all doing ok.
