My optimism remains in Slav. I just wanna stop hearing about his past & witness his brilliance now.

Psychological profiling. Bulletproof.

Never heard that podcast before, but they talk a lot of sense. I'm sure we'll come good this season, nevermind next.

Blades bit comes on ~30mins

49mins in, nail on the head for me - Jokanovic wants to dominate the games in full, but the players are new to his process, so even though we have better players, we're up against teams that are further along in their process and understand their roles more.

This is a very interesting perspective from an outsider.

Mike "Foxpunter" is essentially a journo but has a really excellent understanding of analytics. An opinion to be listened to in my view.

Nail on head about how the players have already had a career defining spell under Chris. Club Needs new blood to outweigh older heads, they either get on board or get off at the next stop.

Similar to what wilder had the power to do in his first season by getting rid and freezing out players. Slav hasn’t had that luxury.

I'd only partially agree with that last bit. Forest started the season looking appalling and at times they looked worse than us. Since Steve Cooper has taken over their form has been great and they've looked a total different team playing totally different tactics.

We have a new manager, a new system and new tactics, but we've got the same problems. We can't score and we can't keep a clean sheet. We just have to be realistic and accept that it's not the manager, it's not the system and it's not the tactics. Our players are crap. Simple as.

We play good football and create lots of chances but the lack of quality up front means we don't bury them. The goals we let in are rarely down to brilliant play by our opponents, they're usually always schoolboy basic errors and players switching off. We could have Alex Ferguson in charge with Jose Mourinho as his assistant and we still wouldn't put away our chances and would still let in poor goals.

Whilst I'm not disputing the impact Cooper has had at Forest, the crux of the difference is we have played such a rigid style and formation, relentlessly for nearly 5 years, it's fully ingrained in the players, who've been recruited and trained to play a very specific (and unusual way).

Forest have had about 10 managers in the time Wilders been with us, of course they are more likely to be able to adapt quickly.

yes 50m quids worth of strikers at the club and we still cant score enough goals for the chances we create and this is the big problem for me yes our defence are letting sloppy goals in especially late in games but if our strikers had put all the chances away it wouldnt have mattered we would have been out of sight
