If you think any of our players "should" be scoring that Ndiaye chance I'd suggest rewatching it. I'd have put a £100 on Billy to also hit the goalkeeper given

a) the speed of the through ball, and
b) the speed of the keeper to rush out and close down the angles

I'd have put £1000 on the rest of our squad not evening hitting the target, and £10k on McGoldrick to put it into the front yard of 317 Shoreham Street.

I get that Ndiaye is an insane talent, but I sense us as fans are putting too much expectation on the lad and unfairly holding him to higher standards than the rest.

Agree. It wasn't an easy chance.
Maybe his first touch was slightly heavy which gave the keeper a fraction of a second longer to come out and close the angle down.
But I'd be surprised if anyone in our squad would have finished it.
The keeper did really, really well.

McBurnie was nowhere near the worst player for us last night. Both MGW and Ndiaye were very poor too many tricks when simple will do. Norwood back to Wilderball giving the ball away or pings left and right to marked wing backs who both only knew how to pass back to the back three.
Two golden chances JLT put a free header wide, Ndiaye missed a one on one with the keeper on a break started by McBurnie. The rest of our chances were either difficult or half chances. The haters will slate McBurnie but Billy faired no better with the service when he came on. I agree McBurnie was knackered after the hour mark why not let Jebbo have a pop?
He was!

Summary version : missed a hat full of chances , lost tempo 2nd half , played a team who’d been watching the Norwich 2019 How to shit house a match video , and refereed by a totally incompetent arrogant twat .
Put in room 101 & move into Saturday

I agree that we must be careful about assuming he is better than he is as that is not fair on the lad, but if he had struck it rather than taking a touch the keeper would have been a yard or two further back.
The ball was perfect for a first time strike.
I would have scored it, but there again as I get better as each year passes maybe I would not have even made it up the pitch !!
