It was a great tackle although we weren't exactly in great formation shape before it. Also just on a side note it's good to see Gomes, not rolling over like he has been shot or leaving a boot in to try and cause an injury, it was a little bit of a heavy touch but in a 50/50 Gomes accepted Kitching got the better of him, makes a refreshing change from the Premier League.

Not the guy he was chasing.
Not to take it away from kitching it was a great recovery tackle and made some ground up... but the touch from the wolves player was absolutely shocking and knocked it towards the path of Kitching.

I think it would be a different discussion if he had better control and carried on in a straight line rather than a touch like pete Sutcliffe and ball in towards kitching.

kitching looks ideal captain material to me and think tanganga would improve with that responsibility taken off him the 3 we played at the back sunday is the way to go for us with wingbacks 3412 or 3421

Especially when Seriki amd Burrows are available. Much as id be reluctant to drop McCallum with 3 at the back u need some creativity out wide and Serikis pace and Burrows crossing and finishing ability would give us much needed creativity going forward
Cooper
Tanganga McGuiness Kitching
Seriki Peck Phillips Jairo Burrows
Donovan
Bamford

Tanganga is a much better player than he has shown so far.

He's had a few dodgy partners at CB and playing there is one of the few positions on a football pitch where you rely heavily on the quality and understanding of your fellow CB.

Kitching imo could be that partner but they need games together to develop.

I did see the JOCesque likeness as well.

i like that set up especially with donovan just behind bamford 3511 he could be more dangerous there than out wide only thing i would change is arblaster or rothwell for jairo its either him or philips for the dm role imo

if we havent got seriki or burrows to play wingbacks tanganga and kitching would be ok in a 4 which would give us 1 extra in midfield
