Let's stay up

it would be nice to stay up regardless of the huge amounts of money being thrown at clubs. You can be certain of one thing there wont be a reduction in ticket prices or anything else at the lane.

Completely ridiculous, the whole thing.
What about the other clubs?!!

30 million to finish bottom??!
Barring any future Abramovich's you're just gonna have the same 23 clubs in the Premier year in year out. How exciting..........

I think wage caps will come in eventually.

Problem is if we "miss the boat" we may never get back.

Exactly. Being selfish, I hope to god we're either in there at the end of the season or we come straight back up next season. If not then I think that will be that.
By then there will be 23 clubs who have gained at least £30 million! How can any club in the football league match that?

The Prem has got bad enough with the top 4 teams seemingly breaking away (I know they occasionally have their blips but most of the time it's the same 4).
The Championship is going to become exactly the same, with the top 3 teams being the 3 who came down and uncatchable (unless they somehow blow £30 million).

That means that if we stay up, Neil will be able to sign 30 strikers in the summer :-)

True lol

Although this new money will certainly cut the premiership off from the football league. Its stupid the amount of money you need to just to survive in the premiership.

The gulf in money is already astronomical anyways, so i dont see this changing much at all.

I think this works out well for everyone involved, it gives the teams in prem more spending power, so championship teams like preston who may sell nugent can slap whatever prices they want on people, and then we have no right to complain.

This will filter down the leagues, we all know that.

As for just having 23 teams continually being in the prem, i dont think that will ever be the case.
