Most people would hold their hands up and admit when they’d got something so obviously wrong. The Arsenal fan seems to double down every time.

No joke Verrips is the worst keeper I've seen us have since George Long. He average over 2 goals a game conceded during his loan spell last season ffs

That was his last game for United, only Foderingham or Eastwood to choose from for Saturday now unless we get someone in asap
 



What utter garbage management, announce your selling your england goalkeeper on the day you have to play a favourite for the title. Then forced to bring in, an unproven Verrips, someone who clearly doesnt know the defence and so they dont know him. Then play a 442 for a team that only know a 352 and so everyone is out of position.
 
Where are the clowns who were slating Wilder for not giving this shit show a chance and signing Ramsdale for £18m?

Ones just shown why he was bombed out, the other sold to Arsenal for a hefty profit….but it’s ok, the Prince and matey boy Rip will ha e a long list of players we can sign now Wilders out the way.

Warning signs were there, and there’s more to come. He’s playing football manager for real and looking to make money. No other interest. Yet he’s the fucking messiah….I’m fuming as it was all so predictable.

United haven’t announced anything
 
We all needed to see this with our own eyes. He’s not good enough and we can stop thinking about him as an option.
 
He played like you did when it was your turn to go into the net at 5-a-side at Concorde. Has he got another job in a garage or something, greasing up axles with his gloves on?
 
I'm quite happy to write him off after that performance. Two mistakes leading to goals. Several others that could have cost us. Only Lee Baxter has had a worse display, and he got subbed at half time. (I actually thought that Slav might sub him).
 
I'm not sure I saw the same Lee Baxter performance. What I did see is a keeper making his debut against a side putting four or five 6'+ players in and around him and us not having any defence against that. Could he have been stronger? Absolutely. Is he to blame for the second? Absolutely. Is he the reason we lost 4-0 to the footballing bastard lovechild of Wimbledon and Stoke? No.

Verrips' performance tonight was the symptom. The cause was awful recruitment and awful team selections. We had three players over 6' on the pitch and one of them can't head the ball. We needed someone to stand up to West Brom but every single one of them bottled it.

Unfortunately and it gives me no pleasure to say this wes isn’t any better. After Moore was released we had only one first team standard keeper at the club and we’ve just sold him. Best get that money spent on a replacement ASAP

I'd agree it's not fair to rip this guy to shreds on his first proper outing when theres a good chance he ends up being number 1 for the season but gotta say invoking a Ramsdale comparison is hardly the most compelling argument. We were just relegated. I doubt we want to find ourselves in League 1 going "actually he came good eventually, that Verrips lad."
 



He was crap in the cup, scary defending and goal keeping
Not championship quality
