I remember komapnys Burnley being simarly unbeatable when they came to the lane and got thrapped 5-2
Yep. They were unbeaten in 16 before that. Only had one defeat all season too.

They came to us and got absolutely bullied. That 2nd half is one of the most dominant performances I've ever seen from a United side. We gave them nothing besides a pasting.

Congratulations on your promotion 👏 Burnley more interested in not letting goals in than winning and Sunderland too far behind.

Leeds are a level above the rest of us though. They are now coasting to the end of the season. We're on a decent run ourselves, having won 7 of our last 8 league games and nearly all of them were against sides in the top half of the table. But Leeds beat us at our place and deserved the win. They only beat us 2-0. But in their games either side of this they scored 11 without conceding. Leeds also haven't lost a league game since November. They've won 5 out of their last 6. The other game was 0-0 at Burnley. Burnley only had 4 shots with none on target.

It's good to see you all get the role of O'Hare now. Would be a very good player if he could add goals to his game. You'll most probably come back to your feeder club for his replacement Rudoni when you go up though 😄 Bigger, stronger, lots of assists and scores goals.

Good luck on Monday.
You only post when you winning😂 Good luck knocking pigs out of playoffs

A million percent capable of winning this match unfortunately we're equally capable of fluffing it right up and looking ridiculous so I'm expecting it to go either way - as in a great performance or a dreadful one, nowhere in between. I'd love a super competitive top of table clash end to end I just dont see that happening

Been winning since January 😁

Won7 out of the last 8 league games without our best two players. One has just come back and our best striker is about to come back after being out injured for a few months. Wright is still our joint top scorer 😂

Just need Leeds and yourselves top 2. Leeds are on another level and don't want to face Hamer. If our players coming back from injury go to plan Burnley won't know what's hit them. Lampard has done much better than we could even have hoped for.

We can’t try playing it out from the back, our defensive four aren’t good enough to play through Leeds high press. That would be playing into their hands and I’m sure after the reciprocal fixture at Elland Road, Wilder must surely know that.

Leeds are a very efficient attacking force which is all too evident by their goal stats and that is their strength. But, their weakness is their defence and I think if we get at them, we can unsettle them, expose that frailty and win the game.

They have conceded 20 goals all season and concede the least chances on goal out of every team in the league, including Burnley.

Leeds' defence is better than ours, look at the data. I think the potential weakness to exploit is a lack of "physicality" in their midfield with Aronson and Tanaka - Vini will dominate Aaronson - see Blackburn's results vs. Leeds, PNE at Deepdale: both sides are reasonably well-organised defensively, and like to stick the boot in a tad.

McBurnie gave a 10/10 centre forward performance second half. Battered them. Unfortunately, they’ve battered us ever since 😩

I can’t help but to agree with your assessment of the lineup suggested by SUFC Guy .

It is not in my nature to be critical of other Blades opinions of our best team selection , but that one seems so far off the mark as to be at best , somewhat naive .

In the entire history of world football , I am not aware of any team that has played with 3 at the back and a single holding midfield player with any success and the idea that we should do so against Leeds is , to say the least , highly questionable .

Add to that the fact that as part of that lineup Rak Saki would be asked to play in the role of wingback and it has all the makings of a team / formation selection which is destined to be utterly dominated and comprehensively beaten by the opposition .

On the other hand I’m of the opinion that we have a squad that , given the right selection and formation , is capable of beating them or at least getting a draw .
You are correct in that my team selection is very risky. Peck would be at the side on Vini except I didn't state that.

I was going at it with guesswork on what Wilder might do. He was very negative in the reverse fixture and I have a feeling that he could go too far the other way in an attempt to win this. He often meddles with the team too much and over thinks things, and I bet nobody guesses correctly what his team selection and tactics will be. We should be starting with the same mentality as we did against Boro.

As long as we have a proper go at them then I'll be happy. Got a feeling it will be a draw at best - sorry for being negative.

i think we will win but a draw wouldnt be a disaster weve some very winable home games coming up to rack points up the burnley away game is likely to decide things

Quite interesting for me to read the tributes and heartening in a way as all I ever really remember was negative feeling towards him, having started following the club in 92. I guess older Blades will know the full story. I remember seeing a quote saying how he had big plans for the club but when they weren’t realised he reverted to running it like a corner shop.

Suppose it’s like the Prince or McCabe, you only really reflect on the positive aspects of their tenure once they’ve left and he presided over a real high point in the club’s history
