A new season is not far away ,lets look forward to that .Hopefully a new owner a new team .We have a great opportunity to have a mass clearout and get rid of all the dead wood including most of the recent signings .Get them off the payroll and make way for fresh blood . I understand the new guys will still be on contract but cutting our losses and getting what ever we can for them is better than keeping them on the payroll while they contribute nothing towards the squad for the next 2 or 3 years . Others who's contracts are up will further make room for more incomings ,just keep the young guys who are on the verge of the first team along with Harmer and build a team around them . Please lets not bring in more 2 or 3 or 4 million pound players like last year because they make no difference or improve the quality of the squad they just sit on the side lines drawing their wages every week .Its quality we want not quantity .NEW KEEPER AND DEFENDERS TOP OF LIST THEN STRIKERS.

Complete new squad i was ok with wilder coming back however yesterday for me was unacceptable we played Burnley not Arsenal fuck these bunch of has beens cash in on anyone who wants our and start again. New manager new squad. I know it will set us back but get these kids in with what we have left few loans few frees and couple of cheap signings. I'd hope for mid table personally I'd be happy with that. I know many won't and would want a quick return to the Premiership. I want the Blades to win every time we play but i can't stomach this premiership. Appreciate I'll be moaning along with many when we lose a few next season but I'll remember this season every time i get the face on. Scarred for life. UTB

I know what you mean mate I have never been a fan of the prem even more so now . Championship clubs dont stand an earthly when promoted ,there is such a big gap from the championship to the prem in financial terms that it has become impossible to compete .Forest payed a fortune and bought over 20 new players and besides a points deduction are looking down the barrels of a gun trying to survive . Prem clubs are now paying 80 million quid on a regular basis for one player who perhaps are only an average one. What chance do we or most other clubs have other than just trying to hang on . Having said that I feel if we had not got promoted we would have been in deep trouble with out the cash we got for promotion . There is loads of cash in football the trouble is only a handful of clubs have got it ,they buy any player that shows any signs of promise from lesser clubs and then loan them out so other clubs pay the wages . Or they are placed in their b teams never to be seen anymore so it develops into a closed shop with no chance of others being able to field competitive sides. Football is broken and money, greed and television are to blame . Only this week greed has put another nail in the coffin of the best trophy in world of football thanks to those in the ivory towers looking after the elite rather than the majority of clubs across the country paying 33 million to the rest of football clubs to share out between them ,a fee that would not buy half a bang average player in the prem . STINKS .

That’s been a good game of football that on the balance of play, attacks and chances, we’ve been the better team and should have won.

There’s two reasons why we haven’t:

1. Their keeper has had an absolute worldy - it happens, can’t help it.

2. We’ve got 3 players in the back 4 that can’t defend and look like a bunch of amputees trying to herd cats. And a keeper missing any sort of confidence and possible any sort of quality. - This needs to be solved in the summer.

We fix that and we’ll be fine. We don’t and we’ll struggle.
Just one thing the decent players we do have are either out of contract or going back to their clubs. Today is the start of 10yr pigs ascendancy if we are not very careful, doesn't bare thinklng about ☹️

OK lets be realistic.
Apparently proven youth player developer Heckingbottom and successful manager (2 promotions) had to go following a 5-0 defeat against Burnley.
Not Hudson 'defensive coach' and McDonkey sent off for a second time in the first half as I would have demanded had I been Saudi49er.
Apparently despite a much needed right footed defender Holgate, a top striker Diaz (although he's wasted on the left wing and covering at full back) the successful introduction of Brookes (since discarded) and now Arblaster has:-
IMPROVED the situation to such an extent that this year in eight home games we have apparently conceded an average of 4 goals per game - as on Saturday (30 in 8 games)
The problem is NOT Wilder ???? NO proof of youth development, record signings abysmal to the point of bankrupting the club last year. The club being saved (relegation then financially) by Heckingbottom and nerves from Saudi49er over key players Iliman and Berger etc.
