I got into a right ding dong on face book on Saturday night, (I'm a bit too old for 'proper' fighting these days, not that I ever was a fighter) But I digress.
Someone was in a slagging off Leon mode. The usual, he's lazy, unfit, useless etc etc. I disagreed and one thing led to another and we were back and forth. In the end I gave up, said goodnight and that was that. When I gor up Sunday, there were several comments and quite a few likes, six of whom were from a Lisa Clarke. Anyone know if his wife's name is Lisa? :)

I saw one as well. Maybe the same one. Some idiot spouting Leon was shite and should ‘fuck off’ within minutes of a notable win and an excellent team performance. When rightly challenged resorted to ‘well I don’t like him and that’s the end of it’. Not when you go public, numpty, it isn’t.
 
I don't think Leon is lazy or not good enough etc.. but the start of the season wasn't good enough from him and annoys me how he is unsubable but the last couple of games he has looked a lot better just hope he gets a goal and gets his confidence back. Think Norwood has brought the best out of the team again and a good firing Leon Clarke would be a brilliant addition to the team with the balls Norwood will be putting through. I I have been very critical of Clarke at the start of the season but seems to have found a bit of form again though he was brilliant for most parts of last season, but the way he started the season for me he shouldn't have been near starting or finishing ever match, but now he seems to have turned again so fingers crossed he can keep this form up and start finding the back of the net again.

Sounds like the same one. And he wasn't at the game either, but his answer was, I didn't need to go today, he's been shite for two years! I give up

Lisa's husband was a Wendy fan and died years ago

I’ve known Lisa Clarke for many years and her son Liam. They sit on the row in front of me on the kop. Not related to Leon in any way apart from being blades!!. UTB
 
I still think this season he’s been good. The goals haven’t started free flowing yet but they will.

Seems he’s injured now time for McGoldrick to take that starting role for now with Sharp.

But who else do you play as a centre forward? That’s why he needs competition.

He’s not hit form yet, but he’s still a good player. There’s no one currently at the club who can fulfil that role.

If he scores 9 goals and we go up I’ll have seen it as job well done, he’ll have contributed in other ways.

Knowing Leon like we do it will only take 3 games for him to get to 10 goals so I wouldn’t write him off just yet BW, seeing as there’s another 41 games to play.:)
