It is an astonishing example of what a brilliant manager can do for a player and that's not diminishing what Clarke does himself, the two of them have come together at the right moment - he's clearly had his demons in the past and now looks as though he's conquered them and his entire focus is on giving as good as he can and Wilder has provided him with the platform and belief to perform.

I can't remember such a transformation in a player, when he first signed he was just going through the motions, whether that was due to a fitness issue I don't know, but I was gutted that we'd signed him and thought he was taking the piss.
But after forcing his way back into the squad at the latter part of last season and this, he has been a complete revelation, maximum effort from the first minute to the very last.
A fantastic example to every young footballer and a credit to himself. Well done Leon

My player of the season so far and I don't like picking anyone out.

I'll hold my hands up and say that in the summer I wondered if he'd be able to make too much of an impact this season but he's been magnificent leading the line. Looks a yard quicker at nearly 33, and loved seeing Wilder with him in a headlock at the end.
