The edge.
Up there with brooksy imo for mom.

Was really concerned that he'd be isolated playing off Brooks but by ek he led the line superbly.
Great finishes too, should have had a hat trick.
Stick that up your truffle snouts.
One of my best days supporting our great club and this today eradicates boxing day.
Fuck off yer bastards.

I think they worked surprisingly well together. I don't think that any of us would have picked them together if all strikers were fit but I don't think that other combinations would have produced that result today. Outstanding display from Leon & Brooks

Thought Leon was a star today and showed a great understanding of how to score, well done, up there with Bobby Davidson as a derby day hero. Both goals good examples of being smart and you don't have to blast it to score, just get in a good position early then dispatch it fairly early and make sure its on target before the keeper can react. Could have done with some of that against Norwich. Think we showed today how we are better at quickly hitting teams on the break that push us back and then give us space than those that park the bus in the penalty area and let us have the ball around the edge of the area (e.g. Norwich).

The min-by-min report on the BBC website described his second as a "simple tap-in". Bollocks - he showed power, strength and some pace to get past the two defenders, they both had a 2 yard head start on him, I thought he did superbly well and it was an excellent goal.

May i be among the first to say, having given Leon pelters in the past, that was a lesson in advanced CF play in the Championship sunshine.

Good on ya, and long may in continue.

Fair play as you've been a constant critic of Leon's since his arrival.
If he could've sorted his head out (his problem throughout his career), who knows what he might have achieved!
Lets hope he makes full use of his undoubted gifts as a big strong and skilful front man in the autumn of his career here at Bramall Lane.
I know he's already displeased the manager greatly at times during his time here.....

Bison Head was saying this on RS, that Leon has always had the talent and attributes but only turns it on once in a while. Hopefully Lord Wilder is working on exactly that.

Why doesn't he play like that every week!!??

Never mind getting into the position, it was a difficult finish under pressure that he executed with accuracy and class.

Difficult to pick a best goal of the game. Leon’s first was the closest to ordinary.

He did have a simple tap in that was disallowed for offside. Was that the one they were referring to?

Did brilliant today, don’t think sharp or the Don would have improved on brooks and Leon today

It's difficult to give one player MOM when they were all brilliant. Certainly Brooks stood out but at the end of the day Leon scored 2 and lead the line superbly. His best game for the club (up there with Bradford last season) and I would have given him MOM. But who cares we stuffed them....

I've said it before and ill say it again when he plays with a point to prove he can be almost unplayable and the wends wound him up and he knocked them down. Poetic really, he is a great striker and had earned us 3 vital points today, but more importantly he has shut them up for the next few months!

Did my eyes deceive me or did the ball hit someones arm as he ran through their defenders for his second?

For me it beats the Bradford game as his best performance for us. He really was excellent – really strong, calm, clinical throughout. A better ball from Brooks following the nutmeg and he probably gets another.

If he can maintain that level for us, he's going to have a very good season.

Makes you wonder what he's been doing his whole career. He's got so much talent, not only is he a good target man but he's good on the deck and can finish. It's taken Wilder and Knill to make the penny finally drop.

He was so much better than Fletcher for them and they are supposed to be paying him £50k a week.

Just work his socks off and got his rewards ........ but that's what we ask from some one wearing the shirt .

Similar, not given him pelters but not been convinced. He won me over today top man

Bang on mate - really worked well together, saying that I'm thinking Brooks could play along side most people - tremendous talent

5 league games against Wendy 5 goals. He just needs to play them every game!

Good of you to say that.

I was very critical of Coutts (always said he was a decent footballer) in terms of desire and workrate etc a few years ago and have openly said I got it completely wrong. Takes a lot to admit it sometimes rather than just the 'I told you so!'
