Pompey: My view

Yep. They do sell things other than beer. He had an apple juice and we shared an enormous portion of pretty good paprika fries: ketchup on his half, mayo on mine.

We went in firstly because he needed to use the facilities and I assumed (wrongly, as it transpired) that the ones in the ground wouldn’t be fit for humans.

Keep your condescension to yourself next time please.
Apologies, it was meant to be a lighthearted comment, so I failed. Sorry.

OK, give me a counter argument?
No real counter argument, just dont think he did anything wrong in a game that he couldn't get to grips with.up on your own in a game like that is not easy, but harassed defenders, and generally worked hard.Did well in defence when we had to defend their 15 cormers.
A 4 makes him our worst player..he wasn't.

Moore does all the graft for our" flair" players to score. He desperately needs someone at the side of him. Many, many years ago, I was playing non-league, and we had a guy call Ross Jenkins, I think that is correct, was it Watford he played far ?? He was getting on a bit could not hit a barn door with his feet, but in the air , different story.
Normally, I was a sub, not good enough for first eleven. When I came on, big lad said, when crosses come in be 5 - 10metres near me. That day I scored twice from his knock downs. By the end of the season I had 25 to my name. He retired at the end of that season, I never got anything like that total again, got dropped, and then released. The point I am making, he made all my goals, when he went, so did my goals.
Get someone playing off Moore, and the goals will come from himself and others.

I remember Ross Jenkins, archetypal big awkward bugger. Watford had Barnes & Callaghan on the wings, Jenkins used to flick their crosses on for Luther Blissett to score. Got Luther a move to Milan and some England caps…could have been you JM!

Amazing that people just jump on Moore's back whilst he's at the strikers graveyard
And now people are lamenting over McPub and the ten goals or whatever it was he scored over four seasons for us

Brewster £23 million because he scored goals elsewhere at this level
McPub £17 million because he scored goals elsewhere at this level
Archer will be worth £20 million if he is sold because he scored goals elsewhere at this level
Mousett £10 million because he scored goals at a higher level than this
Callum Robinson £9 million because he scored goals at this level

How many more times does it have to happen before people realise something just isn't right with our attacking play

This is what happens when you buy your strikers after you've been promoted to the Prem and you're unwilling to pay for someone semi-proven at that level. (Wages likely to be the biggest issue)

You end up with Championship quality and you also get to rock their confidence with a tough season in the Prem, meaning they might not be at the races when you return to the Championship and they won't have won the fans over in a relegation season.

Also, its nice when there's competition for places, Moore literally has none and I'm sure he's quite aware of this.
