He’s now joined the elite club of blades who have scored winners against them lot. Fantastic performance to boot by the way.

All the United fans who still (for some reason even thought they won’t admit it) held it against him for playing for Wednesday - that’s gone now. Has to be.

The stick we got for signing him “worst striker I’ve seen at hillsbrough”, “ambition”, “you’ve got Clarke we’ve got Rhodes” etc means this will sting them very very badly.

Leon Clarke is now a Blades legend. The fact he’s ex Wednesday makes it all the more sweeter.

I never hold it against players coming from Wendy to us, going the other way maybe they'd get a bit of stick when they come back, but coming to us is them seeing the light. We should welcome those seeking asylum from that shithole.

Wendy mauled by the Lion!! Love it!

He was excellent yesterday, he could easily had the match ball had he popped the other chances in. Quality

I presume/hope you understand Cunt Curran is the exception to this, otherwise perfectly sensible, rule!

This fuckin post from porktalk below made me lol

I was in hysterics when I read this (lava lamp lol)

Couldn't happen to a nicer bunch. Honest Guv :D

I am haunted by yesterday and by one image in particular.

Leon Clarke looking smug.

It's behind my lids when I close my eyes.

I see its shape form in the lava - lamp.

It's brain dead eyes look out from the shadows.

His face should be pinned on the door of every locker in the dressing room as reminder of what happens when you don't give it all.

You can be shown up, by a smug, swaggering, third division journeyman.

I feel sick.

Absolutley physically sick.

Before my time, so I'll bow to your superior knowledge on that one :)

And the way he celebrated, with class in my opinion, quick run past the kop but then headed to Billy and Ched.

He didn't rub their snouts in the swill, he just celebrated because the club he plays for appreciate him. The last year or two since his Dad passed away must've been tough for him along with the niggling injuries last season. The way he ended last season was near perfect, despite that even our own fans questioned his ability at this level, but given time and the right circumstances he does it.

Keith Edwards constantly says "well yeah, you have to question a lad who's had so many clubs". No you don't, you question the clubs as well. Its not the full story.

My piggy mate didn't recognise Leon the way he was linking with Brooks. He missed an apparent sitter in the second half, my piggy mate immediately messaged "thats the Leon Clarke I remember". My reply was that he's an instinctive striker. Give him time and he wastes a few, but put the ball in front of him and tell him to finish it, he does it.

Leon goes down as a Legend already, but he's still got a big part to play this season. Two goals for Leon, two for Clayton, four for Billy. Things are looking healthier already

Yes, they were shown up. All that money spent, and they were undone by our "journeymen".

Smug and swaggering? They wrote the fucking book. Enjoy your crumbling stadium with it's tarpaulin signs, enjoy getting rinsed by someone who replaces part of your heritage with something that looks like The Cartoon Network rejected it. Enjoy having your fucking name on a seat and paying a fortune for it. Enjoy standing aside and watching your club get fucked asunder by someone who is all about the bottom line, and you fucking clap like seals at feeding time because you go back to an old kit thats not even made by anyone you've remotely fucking heard of.

I don't hate you, I pity you because you can't see the fucking iceberg.

Even better when you consider that Leon played in 6 previous derbies to this one.

... and scored in none of them :D :D :D :D :D :D
