I hold my hands up. When Clarke came on for Wright I was more than bemused. I was proved wrong, and happy to have been. That was the best I have seen of Clarke so far, and him and Samir changed the game in our favour.

A proper Centre Forward display from Clarke he pulled their defenders all over,and linked up well and got a vital goal...He's been unlucky with injuries,but hopefully we'll see some more displays like last night and when he came on v Chesterfield...If he can extend that type of performance to 90 minutes,then he's in the starting 11 for me.

Ckarke will be needed as the season progresses as will Lavery, and I'd still like us to sign a bit of beast in January as I think they'll definitely be games that we'll need that type of player. The attacking version of EEL would do nicely.

He's now got 9 goals this season (in all competitions) though it also says he's played 25 games, which doesn't sound right.

Anyway, just pointing it out because there was an argument earlier on in this thread about him getting/not getting 10 goals this season. Personally I think that considering his injuries he's done well to get as many as he has.
