Leon Clarke... unsubbable?

I actually don't think Clarke has been playing too bad until the Leeds game. I thought vs Leeds he looked poor and was lacking hunger and belief.

I don't think I've felt the urge to have him taken off before Saturday lunchtime

This is becoming increasingly interesting as the season goes on... Seriously cannot remember the last time he was brought off? (Think it was when he scored 4 against Hull and that was done with about 3 seconds left on the clock).

I get it, he works hard and is a focal point for our forward line - but I seriously think if he's not having the best game, or isn't finding the net as much (which he isn't) a spell on the side would do him good, clearly as it's done with Billy.

Our forward line shouldn't be Leon and whoever else is playing well - both spots should be up for grabs.

But who else do we have that has a strong physical presence and wins balls in the air? That’s why he stays on.

I’d have pulled him off weeks ago!

(Ooh err! No pun intended!)

Clarke could do with dropping imo but he deserves huge respect because he never stops trying and turned down doubling his wages to stay with us.

Leon is the closest thing we have to a complete CF. That means he can form a partnership with any of the others.

Sharp with Don or Wilson probably wouldn't work.

Replace increasingly interesting with increasingly frustrating !

Poor management decisions, I am sorry to have to say, are now looking like costing us.

This blind spot that Wilder and Knill have is now getting beyond a joke.

Consistently poor performances and without a goal in 14 or 15 games. Pitiful.

In fairness, Clarke set up 2 1v1s and a sitter for Sharp. Also nearly scored a great solo goal.

Yeah it's not going for him, but i'd still take him over Donaldson and Wilson on their showings so far.

Not signing a striker in January is looking like a major bollock dropped.

Agree with that, in that Leon actually played alright and almost scored a wonder goal. But our lack of quality up front cost us massively today. One of those 3-4 great chances goes in and we're right back in the mix for the play offs. So frustrating.
