From reading the swansea forums their supporters seem to think that its a deal with a lot of add ons such as appearances, promotion, sell on percentages etc.

Given a choice of Williamson or Britton in our midfield I would rather have Williamson. The 2 of them together is too light weight and Williamson on the right is a waste.

This could explain things. Perhaps Tricky Trev does have commercial skills after all. if the clubs are currently negotiating then they must be talking about something. It would make the deal much more palatable for me if we had a few things such as:
- 20% of all selling on fees
- 250k after 50 appearences, 500k after 100 appearences (etc)
- 20k per goal scored
- 250k if they get promoted

I am plucking numbers out of the air, but I am sure you can see my point.

So we add Britton to the growing number of footballing midfielders who we thought might actually get us playing a bit of football and failed miserably before being quickly moved on.

Some we seem to destroy and some are simply not up to it. Apart from perhaps a brief period Brown and Mcall we never really replaced the hole left by Glenn Cockerill!

You're forgetting the 20 minutes Gordan Cowans played for us!

I think Monty and Willo is a given for the rest of the season subject to any incoming shocks, and, hopefully, an injury free remainder of the season for Willo.

IF Reid comes in, he's better either on the left or behind the strikers IMO.

Far from solid but yes, looks good to me, Monty doing what Monty does best with decent players around him to pass to. Stick a fit and firing Benty and Chedders in front and we might have something to work with.

If nobody takes him, there is the chance of a loan. But surely that's about it.

I don't think it was ever going to be a permanent move, he's said himself he wants to stay in the Prem. As stated previously though, MA did say that he said he'd be happy to return on loan if nothing was forthcoming. Freeing up Britton's wages would obviously make this easier from our point of view. I'm sure it's a "Give us a shout if you're not fixed up, as soon as".

As far as other Prem clubs are concerned, I wouldn't have thought he's the kind of impact player clubs in the bottom half would be looking at so he may struggle to get a move at this time of the year.

I still think there's every chance he'll end up on loan towards the end of the month, providing he's true to his word and he doesn't go off to a bigger payer in the Chumpionship such as Forest for example.

I'm not so sure we will, this season at any rate.

That said I'm not convinced we'd stay up if he stayed, either.

I've discussed things on PM's but not put stuff on the forum. If you're thinking of me mentioning Britton being sold on early Jan it was a private chat not on the forum. Not since the trouble with the academy update.

I don't think I've posted that x is happening I've got this from a good source etc. and courted the ITK tag.

I didn't say that. He is a good player and as such would have been on higher wages than either of the two you mention. Is he twice the player that Montgomery is?
