Leicester fan here - congrats on promotion and a very healthy early start to your campaign. We generally struggle away at Bournemouth and against Palace so the results look even more impressive to a Leicester fan!

Just a few points that may be of interest:-

1. In response to the initial post, I don't think anybody is underestimating the game at all. The post you refer to on Foxestalk are made in jest at one poster suggesting we didn't need two holding players because we'd see a lot of the ball (somebody then replied suggesting that he was being arrogant) and another suggesting that we start Iheanacho (who, in recent times, has been utterly dreadful) and was greeted by a couple of replies saying we may as well play the U23s etc.

2. In response to the poster who referenced our struggles against the 'weaker' teams in the division last season - that is true, however that was mainly at home. We were much better against said teams on the road as they naturally opened up more, whereas at home we struggled to penetrate the 10 men behind the ball on a frustratingly high number of occasions.

3. Not sure how we will approach the game - in the opening two games we've played both Ndidi and Hamza Choudhury (two DMs) and went very narrow, giving the opposition too much respect. We looked much better on both occasions when changes were made with wide players coming on, and Praet (a more advanced midfielder) coming on for Hamza. I'd like to think BR has enough about him to both show enough respect to a good side in yourselves, but not so much so that we go into a shell like we did against Wolves and the first 45 against Chelsea.

4. It should be an interesting game either way. We are capable of beating the best (Man City, Chelsea, Arsenal etc last season and a point at Anfield) and stinking the place out. I guess it's down to how many young players we've got.

As impressed as I've been by you guys, I would be disappointed to not come away with a minimum of a point if we have any realistic aspirations of challenging for a European place. I'd be chuffed to bits with 3 as I think BL will be a difficult place to go for most teams in the division.

Reading the comments by some of their fans posts it seems they could play their B side like they did again against Rotherham and beat us. Others saying play their under 23 side. They seem to think we are just a hard working side

To be fair I think that's a slightly selective reading. Most seem to think it will be a tough game and at least one guy pointed out that Palace were awful cos that's all we allowed them to be.

He's been pretty vocal in his support of your neighbours during his time here, think he and Maguire got on well due to the 'banter'.

Can't imagine he's the easiest person to like as an opposition fan either, particularly a Sheffield United fan! He'll be desperate to score on Saturday no doubt. Yet to get off the mark this season, but he's been revolutionised under BR after Puel stagnated his career a little.

I think we're ahead of the game given the first two fixtures. Scored goals, secured a win, those are the two monkeys you want off your back as soon as possible. That should give us some confidence but make no mistake, Leicester are a good side. Not long back they won the sodding league.

This is one of those fixtures where a loss means very little, a point or more means a hell of a lot, but mostly it's another chance to see how we stand against the pack.

There's definitely been some similarities, particularly the first game and a half of this season, and a couple of the final home games against Chelsea and Newcastle. We still look better equipped away from home where times come at us, and a little toothless against negative sides at home. I'm hoping that Maddison is given more time in the middle, as opposed to out wide, and Tielemans finds form again as he's been fairly average in the opening games. Vardy will always get goals, providing he's not isolated like he has been at times with BR and too much so with Puel.

We still seem to be a Vardy injury away from crisis too!

So do we. We should not be quite so deferential about other teams.... Warnock spread that message and look what that brougjt.

I live in Leicestershire and work with a lot of Leicester fans...….can't stand the Club with a passion, lot of arrogance, lots of chips, (or should that be crisps?) on shoulders but there again, they do play in a Rugby dominated City so suffer from the same inferiority complex as Wigan...….

Saturday will be a tough game but we will give as good as we get, if that ends up coming a bit short then so be it, can't win em all......as long as we send them back down the M1, (with me in the middle of the traffic!) knowing they have been in a game then that will do for me.

Living in the Midlands I don’t mind Leicester, perhaps as I’m closer to Coventry (geographically that is) and so my enemies enemy is my friend.

Early days yet in the season, it will be a good and interesting test on Saturday. Can’t wait.

Toughest game of the season so far.
No idea what their fans think about us but it would be a surprise if they weren't expecting to win given their quality and the fact they should have beaten Chelsea yesterday.
A draw would be a great result.

On the whole their fans are very complimentary with a couple saying that we're the seasons favourite underdogs, there's still a couple saying they'll easily combat the attacking centre halfs with pace, a lot are saying, and I completely agree, that vardy will be well up for this game, overall I don't think they are very fair

This is the first team were playing in the opening fixtures that aren't playing in our mini league at the bottom..

Anything from this game will be fantastic, they say palace are the best team braking on you in the league, no, I think it's Leicester..

We'll do well to not lose against Leicester. One of the best sides in the country. Let's not lose sight of that.

Leicester are a long way away from being one of the best sides in the country. The best sides include Man City, Liverpool, Spurs, Arsenal and Man U and Leicester are not even close. Leicester may be vying for the title of "best of the rest", and "the rest" includes us as a member. The ones who are bigging them up are probably the same crowd who were deferring to Brentford a couple of seasons ago and that was just as comical to listen to. My only slight hesitation for predicting a win next week is that we will need to score twice to beat them as it's nailed on that wiry little twat will score.

Likely draw, possible win.

As a Leicester City fan now living in Canada, i watch a fair bit of football on the telly.
I enjoy the way your team plays & thought you were great against Palace on Sunday.
I'm expecting this to be a really good game with Vardy as always getting up for it.
