agreed a 1 month deal along with former blades Brian Howard,John Harley and Izale Mcleod

Stepping stone
Be more mercs there on a monthly cont over the season.
They start on zero points -10 points applied when they come out of admin

So rather than sign with us he's signed a 1 month contract with a team in the same division who are starting on -10 points and may not even be able to honour his contract?

Good riddance to him if that's his attitude..

What a fool signed with a club that could be liquidated before the end of the season.

His agent is hardly a smart bloke and I bet we would be offering more money than a broke Pompey.

It is a bit of s strange one. I assume United were offering him something like a two year deal on more money. Why settle for a one month deal on less?

One can only assume there has been some sort of personality clash.

I suppose it COULD be a bargaining tool. Sign a very short contract with a club where you're guaranteed to play, put yourself in the shop window for a proper deal with a proper club.

And take the risk of getting injured without the security of a contract to fall back on.

Looking at that they could have a decent side at this level for the first month of the season.

I'd rather have Harley than Williams or Hill. Possibly not Lecsinel though due to his size, pace and ability to get forward.

A risk for him he hasn't had a pre-season and could easily pick up a knock then have no long term contract to fall back on. He hasn't really played a match since the play-off final I believe.
