Player Suggestion Lee Tomlin/Anthony Pilkington

Both not In Cardiff's premiership squad and could both compete with Duffy for the number 10 role. Tomlin scored 4 in 15 for Forest last season but not sure what Pilkington's been upto as in game time.

Think Tomlin is on about 40k per week so if Cardiff can cover some of his wage then perhaps...oh and he is by all accounts a prize knob as well. Good player though, no doubt.

Pilkington would be a decent shout, wage issues also being considered.

Don't want to sign Tomlin just after Xmas. He might not be in the best shape. Although I suppose round is a shape

Tomlin is levels above League 1. That's a cracking signing but a complete lack of ambition from him.

Pilkington has an excellent scoring record. Better than a goal every 5 games.

That would be a very useful return.

Him and Zohore would be very good additions in my opinion.

As much as a great signing he'd be, isn't Pilkington a wide man therefore we'd need a change of formation?

That said, I'd be well up for him and Zahore signing, definitely. Wonder if Neil would help us out? Or more likely to be jealous about the fact that Wilder is more idolised than he is.

What this does make you realise however is just how hard it will be to replace Duffy; someone who is positionally astute and has the work ethic to match. That person has to be on a perfect wavelength with Coutts, Fleck and Norwood. It wasn't Holmes, Carruthers, Evans or Leonard and so far hasn't really been Lundstram. It was Brooks for a while but know how that went...
