He was on loan at Chestfield and scored 14, the majority came from Left Mid. He is out of contract as well.

Not a bad shout given his goal return at Chesterfield and would be give us a physical presence that we have severely lacked since Porter left.

However it looks like he is close to joining Shrewsbury Town...

Was it Lee Novak who scored twice for Huddersfield against us at Bramall Lane?

I recall it was a night match and Marcus Williams (shudder) made his debut, on loan from Reading.

Like I have said on a few other threads, always liked the look of Lee Novak, he was over shadowed by Jordan Rhodes at Huddersfield but is good at his job.

He would be a decent signing, a big man who's not without ability on the ball. No transfer fee either.

I really hope not. Poor scoring record, no room to improve and no better than we already have. We shouldn't be signing players to sit on the bench, they should be ready to improve the 1st team or at least have the potential to do so.

No thanks.

Would really like a front man that could head a ball for a change.
Calvert-Lewin seem to be the only one we've got down there, but he still needs time....

I hope Chris O'Grady's being considered by Wilder along with Hanson and Revell.

Novak as told Chesterfield he wants £10k a week

Charlton Athletic, Sheffield United and Portsmouth are all interested in signing free-agent Lee Novak.

James Shield said last week we weren't interested but maybe the Revell knock back has forced Wilder to think plan B. Personally I'd rather Novak over Revell, but if I'm honest I haven't seen either of them play much. I know Revell is an out and out target man but doesn't score many. Novak scores more it seems and is very hard working, but probably less of a presence than Revell with Revell 6.3 and Novak 6.0ft.

Wilder was coy when asked about him, by Alan Biggs, last night, but Biggs hinted that he thought we were interested in him. Wilder said he wants a big target man type to add to the mix, though.
