He did. He also recommended Wilder. I think he also recommended Adams. I'm not sure a DoF role would suit him on that basis. I think his strength was his man management, building a team spirit etc. rather than overseeing the direction of a club.

grant asked utd for 9,500 per week thats why he didnt come to us ! whilst on subject of cash...killgallon wanted 14,500 , was told couldnt pay it . cw arranged meeting with chief exec,himself and killgallon for the afternoon to discuss .killgallon asked to do it at different time because he was playing tennis that afternoon !!!! he was told to enjoy his game of tennis !!! cheerio
