Not seen that but often for all its problems, twitter is the first to get it right. Problem is you never know whether its right or not because there's so much crap on there. Hope we sign Grant, but of not then I have faith that Wilder will get in a another decent keeper. Wish we'd signed Colin Doyle to be honest from Blackpool.

Sam Morsy is still coming though right?!
hope your right with Morsy but can't see it pal. But hey ho fingers crossed. All to be a Blade

Indeed. On this occasion, though, that wasn't actually my point. I was reflecting that modern technology brings us to a point where the plain words of the manager go completely over everyone's heads as though they hadn't been said at all, paid not one jot of attention, but we pour over the fine detail from someone's friend of a friend on fucking Twitter.

I do have a point though about the '6 fucking years' ;-)

These deals are taking a while but that's not unusual is it. Leon Clarke took weeks too and as we saw from Saturday, he'll be an asset this season. I'm hopeful of Morsy still. I reckon Lavery is desperate to come and prove to the pigs that he's a decent player and what better place to do that than at their rivals! Not so sure on Grant's wages and loan fee, but maybe we are using the Adams money.

Just worried without new impetus tonight another draw on cards, we'll obviously not get anything on Saturday so will be already off the pace by fag end of August.

Well if he ain't got a new keeper for tonight's game we will have a kid between the sticks who is a confidence player suffering a total lack of confidence after his boss has just publically stated he is after a new stopper. CW could do with some motivational tuition from N#2

I think Wilder's not one for reassuring players like Adkins did but that said I think Wilder's approach is what's needed, its time for the players to wake up and realise every week that they need to be giving their all and if mistakes are repeatedly made Wilder will get someone else in instead. You can tell Wilder takes a lot from Harry, I love it! I still expect Long to play tonight, it would be a very brave manager to throw in Ramsdale in what's a really big game that we need to get three points on the board.

So then who do we think has fallen through. If we had to pick between Lavary, Morsy and Grant who would be the one we could do without? For me a new keeper is an absolute must, so out of the others...i think id rather have Lavatory from the shithole and miss out on Morsy. Also think people would be a tad disapointed with Morse if he rolled into town now as he.has been built up into some kind of midfield superman on this thread. Wouldnt mind Morse but not really fussed with him. Think there are better middies out there for us to try and sign.

Well maybe the club has taken the feelings of the contract experts on here and for once are going through the fine print in order to get the best deal for the club.

Crazy I know.......

If George Long has got owt about him, he will have heard Wilder's words and thought 'right I'll show that tufty c**t Tuesday night'. That's the type of player and attitude we want at the Lane, and I'm sure Wilder thinks the same. Whether CW meant it or not, tonight is a good early season test of character for one of the players who's place could be up for grabs, of course, if selected.

Well if they are now starting to act professionally and started going through the fine print in order to not stitch the club up, its not been before time. Whoever has been responsible for sorting out some of the high wages and overly long contract deals given out to mediocre players over recent years have been totally shambolic. Maybe some of the contract experts on here...wouldnt have made such a piss poor job of it.

When I used the word "experts" ........

Come on Pinchy, get the proof reading done. It's "pore" not "pour". Anyway this Tufty certainty about getting players in worries me. I've seen too many lines that we couldn't get over in the last few years to believe anything. As some famous poster on here has said, "it's the hope that kills you".

You are absolutely correct. I feel like the Chef, on Monty Python, who supplied a dirty fork...

I shall reflect on my punishment. A seven day suspension, I'm thinking but perhaps the members should decide..... :)
