Although there is definitely a good player in there, he just can't seem to get any consistency even in a game. He flits in and out, and when he's out it normally leads to trouble for us. I hope Wilder can sort him out, but for me he's a definite no no at the minute. He's the only defensive midfielder I know who doesn't like to tackle.

Evans plays the deep role.

In front Lunny was useless and Fleck had an unusual bad day.

We had little creativity or someone to show for the ball and hold it up. McGoldrick showed nad was quite decent until subbed.

As for Woodburn - it seems we don't actually know what to do with him - same thing happened with Wilson last season. Surely too soon to get Woodburn involved - let him settle in and know/learn how to us him.

I feel the mistake if anything, was not starting Woodburn - I have little doubt that he will be our best player this season.

Dude literally stopped 3 attacks.

Excuse me if I don't worry about his first performance being poor, when he played 20 mins, and was brought on directly after us conceding a goal.

he is the ‘in sight’ version of dean hammond.. someone should tell him you can pass the ball forward

Well he is going to get brought on after we concede a goal, that's sort of the point. Then every touch he has breaks down an attack. But then I am a worrier.

Evans is not the issue ...it was the options he had to pass to .....

Waiting for itsinyerblood to say Sharp for midefield general ...!!

Tbf fair to Wilder...Wilson was a gigantic mistake ...let's hope he and the coaching staff can get more out of Woodburn ...who in essence is not a forward ..he's a roamer ...

Lundstram may have had an assist today but he’s one that our weakest link. I really don’t know what he adds to the team. Play Evans with Duffy and Fleck and he’ll have an outlet and won’t need to be so neg.

Three players need replacing IMO. Lundstram, Stevens and Clarke (who has hardly had one decent game since January).

TBF i'd like to see Sharp and McGoldrick given a chance up top, think they offer far more movement.

Me too mate. I thought Sharp posed more problems In the few minutes he was on (in the attacking areas) than Clarke did all game. Clarke is playing like he’s got a bag of sand on both legs weighing him down. He needs to come off the bench and try to get his mojo back and no way is he captain material.

there were plenty of examples of players ahead of him in good positions he simply doesn’t look he’s a square and back monkey
Evans is the weak link produces little and not brave enough to make forward pass which you can't level at Fleck or Lunstrum
Lunny does make mistake but you can't fault his bravery with his passing or work ethic.Apart from scoring two goals against boro Evans has not contributed enough and a Wales international at that, when Coutts is back I will be surprised if he's not the one to lose his shirt.
We can't complain at today's defeat they were better than us, there sharpness ,pressing and overall game plan was superior a lesson hopefully we learn from.
