Yes, I agree too.

There is nothing wrong with Lunny, he's a nice footballer, but some of our fans just need to face up to reality sometimes.

If United don't let CW progress the club (as he keeps on reminding us in virtually EVERY interview) then at some point he will leave. The club has to just roll on and help him however they can, like funds for Egan and hopefully the Ipswich lad.

Agree about Bash, think he's a great club asset, but he lacks the extra bit of quality when he comes forward to create the extra man on overlaps. We need that extra quality to make the difference. I doubt we would have got out last season but we should have made the playoffs and for me we ran out of steam and lacked quality and composure when needed. No one doubts it's a difficult task for the management to find this extra quality, but we must try. The closing of the window early does us no favours as we may have been able to pick up a couple late in August but it is not to be.

Yep. We struggled down the stretch last season because defensively we couldn't close out games when in the lead. Whether that was personnel, tactical or fitness - something needed to change.

Based on Tuesday night, Egan seemed to sit a bit deeper than Stearman who for me always seemed to be a bit skatty with his positioning and first movements which rubbed off on JOC.

Basham is great when marauding forward or has a challenge to make. It's when we have to tighten up or defend deep that he looks a bit wobbly.

Fingers crossed Egan can bring JOC and Basham up a level, as that would be a major difference maker if he can.

Yep I’m going to stand by what I say and at the same time I hope he proves me wrong.

Good-
Fleck
Duffy
O’Connell
Clarke

Bad-
Stearman
Evans
Holmes
Leonard
Thomas
Donaldson
Lavery
Wilson

Then selling Brooks

If so I’m thinking king Chris could do with someone above him to select and buy players.

I might be wrong but has he signed anyone that’s been good? I just hope the money spent on Egan will be worth it.

Your point is overridden by what Wilder has done for this club. He's turned it upside down and inside out, and in the process helped raise the expectations of Blades everywhere. That surpasses any other managerial achievement I can think of, but you may choose to disagree.

I see you've received a not unexpected tag of pig, let's hope your future posts give a lie to that awful suggestion.....I mean, you're not, are you?

I wish someone would have a word with Lee Evans and stop his 'acting'. Every time he's fouled he grabs a part of his body (which may or may not have had any contact) like he's been hurt, but makes a miraculous recovery the instant he get the free kick.

I'm not sure whether it's an ingrained automatic response or not, but I really don't want to see it from our players.
Show him footage of “Nudger” Needham. That’ll toughen him up a bit! He’ll be swooping his hair gel for Brylcreem soon after.

Whilst I don't expect many to discuss the day we trailed to Halifax in the 4th division, the fact that some on here don't discuss a modicum of other blades stuff and tend to be clever and discuss only criticisms, the suggestion of piggy infiltrator is easy to come to. We appear to have a few doubters at present on the site, but what is pretty clear to me, and I know some real twatty pig fans is that they have started giving it the new season, massive, we're going to piss this league again.

There is up to now, nothing that points to woodmillblade to be anything but an infiltrator, but I suppose like them all, time will tell.

Don’t like the sound of this “skatty first movements” myself.

I’d like to discuss the day we travelled to Halifax in the 4th division. I was there! Neet match wornt it? think Edwards scored didn’t he? I remember one stand being a grass bank. “The Shay” eh? Jumpers for goalposts? Beans on toast for tea? Isn’t it?

Was there too. 4 nil or 4 1 from memory. Behind one goal was a grass bank, you are correct. A warm day near end of season?

And mega blades support.:)

Alright Nigel, give it a rest. Don't Hull have a friendly coming up you should be prepping for?

You're right FB, of course accusations are easy to suggest, unless posts by the accused have a consistently negative tone about them.

Attempting to make a suggestion that Wilder hasn't bought a decent player since becoming manager is ludicrous, but my point stands, the greater significance of Wilder's achievements with the Blades outweighs comments about who has been bought. It's the team that matters, and in that respect Wilder has been exceptional for this club.

I don't mind cynics or sceptics, they can be quite helpful for whatever conversations happen to appear on the forum. I can think of several cynics on the forum, but I'd never question their allegiance to United, simply because they give me no reason to question whether they're a Blade. And there in lies the answer to whether someone should be doubted.

I don’t mind the piggy accusations.

I think Wilder has done wonders for Utd. The dire seasons we had in league1 are well and truly over.

My issue is last season he bought in a number of players that either never got to play or don’t look all that great.

With all this talk about lack of money and board infighting the last thing we need is to be wasting money.

Also he has become very aligned to McCabes crappy vision of only buying British yet all around us teams are pulling in players from the continents. Seems weird that money is tight yet British players are well over priced while some fantastic deals can be made on foreign talent.

For all Wilders great work and the way he sets us up in matches we are turning into a team of hustle and bustle when nowadays style and technique ( fed up with the sale of Brooks) seems to be the way forward in getting to the top and attracting more fans to the Lane.

Grunter alert .

Jeez not another one. Don’t they get how obvious it is. I could never pretend to be a pig just to wind up the dark side.
Just be disgusting!!
