Leaving early

I have an old friend who lives in Surrey and has 2 season tickets on the kop, so far this season they have been to 1 game 🥺

Well if your getting t’bus up chesterfield road etc then if ya don’t leave early the next bus doesn’t come for fucking ages!!

Being on row z at the back of the family stand i leave my SEAT with about two mins to go. If i stayed put it can sometimes take as long as ten minutes to get out of the ground. I move down the steps to find an empty end of row seat (theres usually plenty). I can then leave on the whistle to be away in my car without being caught in too much traffic. Usually.

I think there should be a system in place to allow season ticket holders to put their seat up for sale for a match they cant attend.
I wrote to the club asking about this as we have season tickets but can only get to a handful of matches. I made it clear that I didn’t want any money back, just wanted to make sure that as many Blades as possible have the opportunity to watch this marvellous team. They wrote back saying that they are only allowed to sell a seat once...maybe other clubs have found a solution?

I get out the ground in 2 mins instead of 10, I then get out of the city in 10 mins instead of 30. Last night took me 2 hours, previous time I waited to full time and it took me

Well go on then. How long?

You don’t have to justify yourself to any fucker on here mate, it’s your business when you leave.

Loads of Villa left too. I know they 2-0 down and getting bossed, but at their place they were 3-0 down, loads left and they pulled it back.
I can never understand people going early. If were 3-0 against Colchester, stood in the rain in Div 3.on a Tuesday night, maybe, but these are the matches we've all been waiting for.

At Watford it’s compulsory to notify the club if your seat is going to be empty, if you don’t attend and don’t tell them then you can have your season ticket revoked. If you tell them you aren’t going then they put your seat for sale with the proceeds going 100% to the club and no refund for you.
Watford the totalitarian football club! Wow. No refund smacks at theft, despite the possible use of a disclaimer, if not by law, it morally stinks.
All for recycling ST's if not used but holder has to be reimbursed with a charge to the recipient covering clubs admin costs.
I find best way is to let family and close friends use mine. I notify the club paying up grade when necessary and only offer my ticket, me covering costs, never on request. Working fine for me with all party's in a win situation.

fuckin days... m1 was shut in midlands
M1 is a nightmare. It’s always closed due to accidents. We need another motorway from north to south, all of the M1 should be four lanes and trucks should be restricted to the two inside lanes.

I’m sure it can’t be difficult to introduce to the online ticket system, where you can log on and deactivate your season ticket for a game which would make your seat available for sale.

😴😴😴 I arrived late (South Stand turnstiles need improving, don’t know how, but they do) I then went for a beer 7 minutes before half time, was a minutes late back for the 2nd half. But I did stay until the end.

I think I paid the same as everyone else so I’ll do what I fucking want
Whilst contributing to club funds.

I left 2 mins after the final whistle, 10 mins walk to the car and still managed to get to the gypsy queen for half 5 pint.

I left at 85 minutes. As mentioned above, I'll do what I want given I've paid for the ticket.

I went to a Genesis gig at Old Trafford 15 years ago and watched almost the whole gig on the concourse having a beer a chatting with my mates. We had a great time.

I kind of get it when it's 2-0 and looks like game over. Even then I feel like I pay good money to watch football and I'm not going to miss anything.

What really baffles me is people that were leaving when we were 3-2 down to Man U with a few minutes left. Surely the occasions that late late goal in are one of the best parts of football?
You can’t beat a last minute game changing goal, for the direct enjoyment of it, and to laugh at those that desert the team with just a few minutes to go. 😂

That's the only point I was trying to make , but as some have said youve payed your money you can do what the fuck you like
I think it's sometimes good to show appreciation, that's why I say thanks to the girl on the checkout or the kid serving in McDonald's even tho I've payed my money and can do what the fuck I want !

Don't know why people worry about what other people do. If there's less people in at full time great, means less people to wait for to leave at then end

As others have said I can’t understand people arriving late, leaving early at half time and at the end but I guess it’s their choice. However what really annoys me is that fans don’t stay to applaud the players off. Yesterday by the time the players came over to the Kop it was half empty. I was in South Stand and a lot more people seemed to stay but even so a lot had left. Our players and Management give their all on the pitch, had just comprehensively out played Villa and had played some fantastic football. They really deserve to be given an ovation by the fans. I feel totally embarrassed that so many “supporters“ don‘t give them the applause and support they deserve.
Good point but I believe they have self satisfaction for a good job well done combined with financial reward that possibly 95% of the crowd can only dream of. Is that not enough?

Exactly!

But oh no, your not a proper supporter unless you stand and applaud the lads off, never mind if you miss your train/bus or whatever and have to wait an hour for the next one. If you’re then stood hanging about in the rain, chances are one of the team will invite you into the players lounge for a pint or two and then probably drop you off at the station in their Range Rover. 🤔

What ‘totally embarrasses’ me is some of the thoughtless, ill conceived and narrow minded shit some people write on here. We may all support the same team, but we don’t all have the same lives, personal circumstances and levels of responsibility, as one another. I mean, have you ever stopped to consider that when you and these proper ‘supporters’ are sat eating your tea off your Blades crockery, many others are still many miles home?

Stand of confusion?

FWIW, Sydney Swans (Aussie Rules) give you a credit to your next year's season ticket if you give them 48 hours notice of not being able to use.
